A great value for money hotel right in the CBD of Shanghai. Rooms are very clean and luxurious, and the hotel has many other facilities like a lap swimming pool and gym. The best part about the hotel would have to be the location, right on top of IFC mall with a lot of shops and restaurants, and very close to other attractions in and near the CBD. Staff are also very attentive and are willing to help with any requests.

Bad customer service!!! Day 1: complained about the towel with pubic hair. See pic. Night time found another roll of bath towel with even more hair in it (see pic). No apology, no explanation. Just a whatever attitude. Day 2: asked for a lighter to be brought to room to help light up the candle for my daughter birthday cake but guest services said NO. Cannot. Told by them to buy a lighter from meituan!!! I just need to borrow a lighter from any of hotel staff to light a 9yo birthday gals cake! Asked for the cake to be kept in their freezer when it arrived in the afternoon as it’s an ice cream cake and couldn’t fit in the room freezer but they said NO again. See the final outcome when we cut the cake. Bad bad bad service Horrible!!! No effort to try to even go half an extra mile to make their customers stay more pleasant and happy

Second time staying here. Last time was 5 years ago. Really appreciated how family friendly it was. Supermarket at bottom of IFC mall with both Chinese and foreign products. There's a kids play area, along with large shallow ish pool and baby wading pool. Service is excellent and everyone is so friendly. Rooms are starting to tire a bit but are very clean and relatively well maintained. Right next to metro on lines 2 and 14. Line 2 takes you straight to Puxi area, and honestly having stayed on both sides I now prefer the IFC location. The tunnel to Puxi is also right next to the hotel so it's easy getting there in a car as well. Make sure you download the Didi app for rideshare and Alipay for all payments, both of which are available to western countries now. IFC mall itself has all the normal luxury brands at inflated prices so don't worry about that, but the restaurants are an absolute standout, among the best in Shanghai. That's coming from someone who grew up in Shanghai. There's also a McDonald's right there for any kids who crave it.

literally a five star hotel / residence location is another level! just 20 mins to the bund, nanjing east road and xintiandi 50 mins away by car to Pudong International Airport perfect for two couples or a big family with kids got a 24/7 gym and super nice indoor pool with spa / sauna offers breakfast on the 3rd floor lounge, super chill employees and luxurious rooms our whole family was very satisfied with the two nights stay at the residence

Probably the most value for money service apartment in the whole of Shanghai. Despite being more than a decade old, both its exterior and interior still looks pretty new and well maintained. The guys at the concierge are mostly helpful and obliging but the team behind the counter can be inconsistent though largely still polite. The location is almost close to perfection as it’s connected to the glorious IFC mall. The iconic Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower are both literally a stone throw away. And getting your Didi driver to locate the service apartment is also a breeze. I stayed in their one bedroom deluxe and it is well stocked in terms of appliances and amenities. Easily my 4th fave places to stay in Shanghai after Peace Hotel, Langham and Puli.
