What a spot! We stayed here before a cruise and were so glad we did. Fabulous location, so walkable and lovely being so close to the water. Consistently excellent service - really 5*. We had a lovely view over the botanic gardens. The hotel lobby is absolutely beautiful, as is the lobby bar. Breakfast was great quality too. Would definitely stay again.

The Intercontinental Sydney will now be one of our all time favorite hotel stays! Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff - thank you for the kind birthday wishes and room upgrade. The views from the 28th floor over the harbor are incredible!! Rooms are newly renovated, comfortable and spacious. Wonderful Byredo products in the bathroom! Food and drink program was also excellent. The buffet breakfast was the best we’ve ever had, and we particularly loved the cocktails in the Treasury lobby bar! Concierge was also very helpful, booking wonderful dinners for us in the area. Thank you for an excellent stay!

We had another amazing stay at the Intercontinental Hotel Sydney, specifically in the Opera suite room 2724. The views were breathtaking, and we opted for the convenience of enjoying drinks in our room with the same stunning view instead of heading to Aster. The recently renovated lobby impressed us with its spaciousness and brighter atmosphere. The Treasury Bar provided a nice, airy ambiance, and the service was satisfactory. The room itself was a delight, featuring a spacious living room area and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The bath was a highlight, complete with provided bath salts for a luxurious experience. The efficient air-conditioning ensured our comfort, and the addition of a second toilet/powder room for guests was a thoughtful touch. Surprisingly minimal outside noise added to the overall tranquility. While there was a slight delay in receiving our stored luggage, the staff handled the situation with professionalism and efficiency. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the Intercontinental Hotel Sydney – a truly memorable experience for another great stay.

Nicely apportioned rooms. Asked about rooftop upon check-in, were told we needed to make a reservation. Tried to do so 5 minutes later from our room, were informed the entire night was blocked for a special event then they hung up without even so much as a too bad. No fix provided until we asked concierge to help make a reservation after asking multiple times. Was supposed to get a basket of fruit, never arrived. Didn’t even bother. Rooms were stylish but dark with minimal lighting once blinds were closed. Luggage porters tried and worked hard! Best of the bunch. I’ll say fine overall, can’t recommend for stellar service but a fabulous location and clean rooms.
