We stayed at Jambo Guest House several years ago with my sister and brother-in-law. Barry and Mina were incredible hosts to us all and the house had so much history and warmth. Although there wasn't a full english breakfast the food provided was fresh and there was plenty of it. The reason I am writing this review 5 years later is because I have friends going to Capetown and I was recommending this guest house to them but realised I hadn't written a review - better late than never! The location is perfect for exploring the area and Barry and Mina couldn't have been more helpful.

The photos correspond to what it really is. The breakfast was tasty and fresh, but boring - every day the same and limited in options. One would expect better juices for that type of guesthouse. The rooms were always clean. The bed pretty hard, it's a matter of taste obviously. The area is peaceful, but not much interesting around. The owners were flexible with check-in time. Not much with the breakfast. We were refused to have an earlier breakfast or packed sandwich when going to safari, while other couple had breakfast earlier. We didn't like not even treatment of all guests. The owners were kind and chatty, sometimes pushy in selling hop-on hop-off bus tickets or local services. If you have nothing organized in the trip, it might be helpful. Otherwise it might feel intrusive. Book this place if you want daily chat with the owners, if you are ready to share your day with others, if you want more personal treatment. Do not book if you are reserved person and prefers to be anonymous. Overall the place has 'soul', it's style and much more unique design than white wall rooms in many other hotels.

We stayed at Jambo in December and think it is a fantastic Cape Town guest house. The rooms and facilities are all very quaint and luxurious, which definitely added to the overall charm and appeal. I'd recommend Jambo Guest House purely for the contemporary furnishings and comfortable rooms - luckily this Cape Town guest house offers a whole lot more than just that. Terrific accommodation in the heart of Green Point.

A fantastic Cape Town bed & breakfast with exquisite contemporary decor and luxuriously comfortable 5-star rooms and facilities. My stay at Jambo guest house was wonderful, and the owners are absolute sweethearts. I'll be visiting again soon.

Beautiful furnished Guesthouse in the heart of green point. High ceilings with lots of antique furniture. If you have something for the old era then this is the guesthouse to be at. Friendly owners beautiful located.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the booking cannot be confirmed due to certain circumstances, Adani One will refund the entire amount to the original mode of payment.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
