Good location in relation to the nightlife etc… but on a sketchy alleyway that is dirty and signage for the property was not well done. Single females should reconsider. We were given a Japanese twin which is much too small, no room for any luggage except maybe a backpack. Room is dingy — not “hip”. Check-in is a FIRM 3pm… we arrived a bit after 2pm and had to wait with our luggage until the very last tick of 3pm. On the way to our room, we see apartments at the same level within 15 feet, with unappealing laundry hanging. Definitely gives motel vibes. Could hear the “neighbors” dogs yapping while in our room. If you’re looking for no frills and want to be close to nightlife, this hotel is fine perhaps for a short stay. But there are other options that are still located well and don’t have these issues, at a minimal amount difference in price.

biggest complaint is how small the rooms are. We had one room with two beds for 3 people and it was so cramped. Two of us barely fit on one bed (and we are 5'3 women) and we had to put our suitcases on half of the other bed because there was nowhere else to put them! The location is very convenient and they do allow you to store luggage before and after check in/check out but the cramped room was not worth it for us

Great hotel with a nice young vibe and very friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect if you want to explore the buzzing nightlife of Osaka. We were only here for one night, unfortunately. Only 4 stars because the beds were a little uncomfortable with hard squeaky mattresses.

I stayed at the Kamon Hotel Namba for one night when bringing my kids to see Osaka. The hotel is located about a 5-10 minute walk from Dotonbori. The hotel was also very close to Kintetsu-Nippombashi Station and surrounded by many restaurants and shopping areas. The hotel building itself has a strange layout, probably owing to its small footprint and likely adaptation from some prior use. Still, the ambiance was trendy-ish with clever decorations. We stayed in a room with multiple bunk beds and the size was large compared with a typical hotel room in a large city. However, I think this room may have been atypical due to the unusual layout of the building. The staff was super friendly and helpful and breakfast was enjoyable. I will definitely consider this hotel the next time I visit Osaka.
