We were very disappointed by this hotel. The villas are lovely but unfortunately poorly maintained. We stayed there with my husband for a week (16/07 to 23/07) which we were looking forward to relaxing in but it was a nightmare. It was impossible to get to sleep as the air conditioning was so noisy. We tried to turn on the fan but it squealed even louder. In addition, the cupboards were very dirty when we arrived, the bathroom sink was blocked and there was a room that was locked which we were unable to use even though we had booked the whole villa.We reported these inconveniences to the manager but they were only partially resolved and this was just one day before our departure, so it was totally useless. Furthermore, the staff are very disrespectful. On several occasions they took the liberty of entering the villa without warning, even though we had put up a "do not disturb" sign at the entrance. The day before our departure, for reasons we don't know, the house was not cleaned. And finally, we had included breakfasts in our stay, which were a sham, not to say a complete rip-off. Apart from the fact that it was very expensive (there are many places on the island that offer high quality breakfasts 4 times cheaper than here), almost empty, the few choices on offer were pork-based, which is disrespectful for Muslim, Jewish and vegan customers. In short, the island of Koh Samui offers many better quality hotels at lower prices. We invite you to fall back on those and to skip Kanda Residences Pool Villas.

It was an awesome experience. Every little care has been taken to ensure a guests comfort. The staff is superb. I would have rated it 5 stars had a small incidence at the restaurant not taken place. My 8 year old son was not interested in breakfast and wanted to go swim, when he went back to have his breakfast he was refused saying he had already eaten!!!

This hotel is unbelievable!! So fancy! We have our own villa with our own private pool. The villa has a large living room with couch and TV, dining room with large table and chairs and kitchen - oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, stove, dishes everything you need. There is also a washing machine and dryer. We used 2 bedrooms, that each had a bathroom. but I think there are more bedrooms locked up, in case of bigger groups. The place is far away from shops, but there is a shopping list you can fill, and they get anything you want for you. The place has a restaurant.

I can't say enough about how amazing our stay was at the Kanda Residences! 5 stars all around! It all started when they picked us up from the airport (called ahead to make reservations). Every employee was the kindest and most helpful during our stay. And the room...Wow!!! We stayed in room 3 which was a pool villa and boy, was it fabulous!!! It was so spacious, clean and had all the amenities of a full kitchen, washer/dryer and 2 bathrooms. The pool was a great size for being private and it was beautiful! We are not ones to spend much time in our room while one vacation but plans were rearranged to have 2 full days just in our room lying by the pool with room service. While there isn't much of an ocean view downstairs (it's still incredibly gorgeous), upstairs had the water view. I would wake up each morning to the most magnificent view of the ocean! The bathroom setup was well layed out so you could see the ocean from the shower, sink, toliet or bathtub. There was even a balcony outside your room with comfy lounge chairs in which you could sit and stare at the water while drinking your coffee. A delicious breakfast was provided each morning with a huge array of breakfast foods that would appeal to any palate. Overall, we have stayed at many hotels in our travels and this was by far our favorite and well worth the money.

We just stayed at the fabulous Kanda Residences for the last 6 weeks and we are sad to go! The villas are stunning and very spacious, and they are perfect if you are a family bringing your helper or nanny as some of the bedrooms are in a separate villa next to the main villa. We had one with the master bedroom upstairs and our 10 year old slept very happily in his own “guesthouse” or mini-villa next to ours- your whole villa is enclosed within a wall. It is on some hills that you can get some exercise, walking or running the hilly paths, plus the gym has just re-opened they told me, which sadly we missed. The main pool is open which is right next to the beach where you can take out their kayaks (we recommend water shoes for rocks but not necessary- no sea urchins). And one huge bonus for us was that they organize a fantastic Muay Thai instructor who will come and teach Thai boxing to you and your children- we had khun Beau who is great with kids, and playful, and makes it fun. And we liked the location, considering we had a few friends staying on the north side, but we ended up shopping (Tops supermarket) and making runs to that mall (Central) here and there which was like a 6 min drive, and to go to restaurants and to Chaweng or Chaweng Noi (best beaches, especially for jogging or eating/drinking on the beach) it is an easy drive to get to. The three other things to point out is that 1) Kanda only charges 3.67 baht, I think it was, per hour of electricity usage- all the other families on the north side are paying 7 baht. And 2) I looked at many villas around this area and more north, and this is the only one that has daily maid service. And once a week to clean the pool. The daily maids come do our dishes every day which was huge considering we did not bring a helper, and once a week another team comes to do deep cleaning, and 2 or 3 days a week the pool guys come to clean. And 3) they have the best WiFi signal compared to anywhere we have seen- and that was #1 for us since we were moving 2 home offices here to work plus our child doing virtual learning. It is huge value for what you get- which is what drive me to write a review. We are hoping to come back this summer!
