I stayed at Karma Tara 2 months and 20 days. A very nice, cozy and comfortable place to stay in a quite and peaceful location. Walking distance to Thamel where local heritage and culture can be explored. Owner Mr Sonam is very hospitable, cordial and nice. All the services were outstanding, spotless neat and clean apartment and most importantly homely! Have plan to stay at Karma Tara again during my next visit in Nepal as tourist.

We battled to find a place to stay in Kathmandu, not because there is a shortage of accommodation but because as a couple living a nomad / work / lifestyle we’re looking for more than just a hotel room. We found it in the Karma Tara Residency, located in Kesar Mahal, part of Thamel. We stayed in the AmaDablam Suite which turned out to be a little small for us and yet, we coped just fine. The suite was clean, well appointed and serviced daily. Sonam, the owner and manager was super helpful and organised some printing for us and other odds and ends. We had a challenge or two with Wi-Fi and found that mobile access in our room was a little patchy. We loved sitting on the topmost patio and spent a couple of lovely mornings there. Karma Tara is within very easy walking distance of a ton, and I mean a ton, of spots to eat. You can stay there for two weeks and never need to use the kitchen in the unit. Very nice space, calm, peaceful and loving. Would stay there again if we’re back.

I had wonderful stay at Karma Tara Apartments from Feb to June 2022. I can’t speak highly enough of the warm, welcoming environment Sonam and his team provide. The self contained apartments are well appointed and located in a safe, clean area of Thamel. Sonam’s kindness and care for his guests creates a special atmosphere at Karma Tara. Perfect for a stay of a few weeks or several months in central Kathmandu. The suites are comfortable, well-equipped and tastefully furnished. Sonam is the perfect host and the staff quick to respond to any and all requests. It truly became a home away from home! Highly recommended!

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the booking cannot be confirmed due to certain circumstances, Adani One will refund the entire amount to the original mode of payment.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
