The staff are absolutely amazing. They speak very good English and spent lots of time helping us forward our luggage. The buffet breakfast is good. The rooms are modern and clean. Great location to get to all the main sites and close to train lines

Overall we had a great stay. The bed was pretty big, clean bathroom. Impressive selection of skincare amenities provided at the reception: face cleansers, moisturizers and sheet masks! Breakfast is nothing special and not worth it, better find a spot nearby. The windowsill in the room was very dusty. Very good location.

Granbell is in a great location. Really enjoyed staying here. When I used the women’s bath I was the only one there so felt very peaceful. Very close to key attractions. Clean hotel. Good breakfast and always plenty of space in breakfast room. Cold water and coffee available to self serve in reception/lounge area. Room a bit small but typical for price. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights in October of 2023. Overall my husband and I enjoyed our stay. The rooms are small, but it wasn’t too big of a deal since we spent most of our day exploring Kyoto. PROS: -location. You’re in Gion and it’s within walking distance to everything you will need. Train station, bus stops and within walking distance of under 10 mins. Lots of restaurants around, you can easily get a taxi outside as well -cleanliness -toiletries -English speaking staff -breakfast. We loved the Japanese breakfast options, worth the price and they offered a great selection -front desk will help with luggage transfer CONS: -room size -no USB charging output (but it was like this throughout all the hotels in Japan) -front desk service was mostly friendly, but some staff were a little cold

Had a wonderful 6 night stay at the Granbell. The location is great for getting around Kyoto, easily walkable to multiple stations. The king bed was very large and comfy, and the window can be full blacked out with the window shade. The skincare amenities were a lovely touch and much appreciated. All that was missing was a bit of extra space to store luggage, but I know space comes at a premium in Japan. Breakfast was decent (amazing French toast!) and very convenient, and the free coffee and tea available all day were great. The onsen were wonderful — really clean and quiet, and sometimes was possible to get it to yourself. The staff were so kind and helpful, and even shipped my wallet to Tokyo when I accidentally left it behind. Would absolutely stay again.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
