        Pretty dated room but clean and comfortable bed. Food more than acceptable. Breakfast plenty. Dinner in dining room was good with a varied menu. Their restaurant was very good and my steak and Glenlivet were great. Staff generally were eager to be of service. Special mention of the internal (self employed and family operated??) facility which appeared to stock everything as well as having a Starbucks coffee facility.

        Shift leader zafer was wonderfully helpful. He is a real credit to this hotel. Everyone I met here speaks incredibly highly of him. We will be returning at least another two more times this year and we greatly look forward to seeing him again and staying here at La Quinta by Wyndham

        It's old fashioned. It's neglected in the public areas and in my room 341. Bathroom smelled of stale water. Loose boards in bathroom entrance. Paintwork either touched up/shaded areas or areas totally neglected. Needed complete rather than partial work. Redeeming features are very comfortable and clean bed. Great attention from all staff. Food at Breakfast good, food in evening at 'breakfast room' (fixed price buffet) very satisfactory and their special restaurant was very good (albeit the music was intrusive). All staff excellent. Services might tick the 5 star boxes but not 5 star.
