Seems this hotel is renovated. The quality of dinner and breakfast was nice. Breakfast is buffet type. Still it was good. There is Jyakuji outside the room and the view was really great. But to be honest, the shower booth was not that clean

Beautiful resort. Spotless (They lock your shoes up at the entrance so you can’t even take them in with you. And then they wipe down the wheels of your luggage.). Very luxerious feel. Our room had a private outdoor wooden onsan (natural hot spring water). 8 min walk to the cable cars that go down to the lake

This is a wonderful ryokan experience with a nod to a few western comforts. Top of the comfort list is that Laforet Hakone offers private onsen rooms. This is a nice option for those who prefer discretion when sans clothes. Rooms include a sitting area and wall-to-wall tatami flooring. The flooring feels great to walk on! Yukata, a comfortable Japanese lounge-wear, are provided and guests wear them throughout the hotel. The ryokan’s breakfast buffet also offers both Japanese and continental options. My two western favorites: croissants (deliciously buttery with a light, crispy, flakey shell!), and the granola with bits of chewy dried fruit bits and Nerd-sized crispy balls mixed in. Yum! The local food side was also great. Locally sourced ingredients that were flavorful and authentically Japan. This was our second stay and I still enthusiastically recommend it!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during a long stay in Japan, and it was more than worth it for the price point. The staff were so welcoming the entire time. You will find the further out from Japan you get, the less fluent English speakers you will find, but everyone is just as kind and accommodating as everyone else we were fortunate enough to encounter during our travels. We did have a snafu with the shoe lockers as no outdoor footwear is allowed in the hotel, but it was mainly due to our own confusion and inability to speak Japanese. All was well in the end and the concierge was kind and apologetic (although it was definitely our fault). We were in a Western style room with beds pushed together, tatami mats, and an open air onsen. The onsen was definitely the best part after averaging 9-13 mile days in Tokyo. The view was also incredible. Everything was clean and very easy to use. I also personally used the women's public onsen and greatly enjoyed the outdoor cedar bath. The shop is very cute with local crafts, beverages, and food items. Concierge staff was very accommodating every time we wanted to purchase something. The breakfast buffet was very worldly and fresh, including Western and Japanese offerings. Do not skip this as it is incomparable to any Western buffet you would find otherwise. My one complaint was that some items on the main buffet got cold if you weren't quick enough. Some heat lamps would be very beneficial. This was quite an uphill hike from the bus station my husband and I got off on, but I'm not sure it has to be. We were weary and unfamiliar with the public transit at the time. The hotel offers a scheduled shuttle service to Gora station which we used the day we departed. Many other locations are quite a distance from this hotel, but the local bus transportation is incredibly easy to use but does stop running around 8 p.m. All in all this is a beautiful place to stay with excellent amenities. I think everyone should make a 1 or 2 night stop in Hakone a priority.

The staff in the hotel was an exceedingly friendly people, especially a beautiful girl from Taiwan. They would clean your shoes and suitcases after your arrival. I enjoyed 露天風呂 very much. You can feel the cool fresh scent of the morning, and the night was unnaturally quiet, close to silent.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
