        After I had booked, but before I arrived in Phu Quoc, I became a little concerned about some of the negative reviews I read. Luckily they seem to have been written about a different hotel. From the moment we checked in to the moment we were dropped at the airport, leaving the island, four days later, the experience we had at this particular hotel was just wonderful. The staff were super kind, flexible, cheerful and helpful - each and every interaction was pleasant and positive. We stayed in an Ocean Eyes Suite (room 203) and found it attractive, clean, well appointed, nicely maintained and very comfortable. The room’s shower area combined with the WC isn’t how I’d do it, but was very functional in any case. The breakfast buffet on weekend mornings was tasty and diverse. The a la carte breakfast on weekday mornings was really nice and quite fast. We liked the terraces, the espressos, and the pool and sundeck area (I’m quite pale so appreciated the dappled sun on some of the loungers). Sunsets were great! The beach directly in front of the hotel isn’t a stunner, but a hundred metres away to both left and right are two ok beaches with Long Beach and its bars stretching away in walking distance to the south. It’s a short walk to the Night Market for cheap use food and great restaurants like Lobster Cave and Nage Eatery are quite close too. All in all, a place I’d love to return to someday soon!

        I booked here for four days and three nights, but I was very unhappy in the last two days. When I came back in the evening, I found that there was no water in the bathroom (shower, toilet, bathtub). I called the front desk and the front desk staff came into my room. He took a look at it for me and told me that there was nothing he could do and he could only ask someone to repair it tomorrow morning. As a result, the next morning, there was still no water in my bathroom! ! ! ! ! ! I still can't take a shower. The point is that I stayed in a deluxe double room just to take a bath in the bathtub. I also lost the opportunity to take a bath in the bathtub for two days! ! !

        The beach is a disgrace (not this hotel's fault specifically), but the people of this town clearly have no respect for their waters. Litter and plastic floating in the sea and all washed up on the shore. This hotel is new but utterly soulless..the staff are going around as if they're terrified someone in management is going to reprimand them at any moment for doing something wrong. And as a guest, you get the feeling they think you're here to stiff them out of, oh, I dunno, towels or robes or water... it's bordering on paranoia. I was in the petite room which, although small, is fine for one person...it's well designed and well appointed with high ceilings and a nice bathroom (shower only) and cool floor to ceiling windows that frame the dirty beach...and let locals watch you while you go to the toilet. Breakfast was mainly Asian food, but a substantial buffet nonetheless... however, overall the place is sterile: it's clean but gives you no reason to want to sit at their always empty bar/restaurant; nor by the pool. The little rooms are well priced..it's only 5 mins walk to the Night Market... and the hotel is M for modern. But it thinks it's better than it is and needs to inject a bit of life and fun into itself and stop taking itself so seriously...oh and they wanted to keep my passport for the duration of my stay, or else pay an exorbitant deposit that would be "refunded within 3 or 4 weeks" ! 🙄 Grow up people...it's a slightly above average hotel you're running, not a bank. Very missable all things considered...

        We had 2 nights booked but left after the first night. Although the hotel was in a great location, it was underwhelming and not as expected. The pool had limited space to sit and the neighbouring blocks had so much rubbish, which made it un-enjoyable. The noise from the street kept us up at night, even though we were on the 6th floor. Half of the power points were not working in the room. The breakfast was advertised as a buffet but to our disappointment, we were only offered one dish off the ala carte menu with no buffet. Upon arrival they asked us to leave 1 million dong or a passport as a deposit, which I thought was strange. They did not offer a card option for the deposit. The positive side was the receptionist Nho who responded wonderfully to our concerns. She is a terrific staff member.

        Whatever we ask ,first staff will tell no. Then if we repeatedly ask, they will try to do it. They haven't done the pickup itself from airport as promised eventhough we were at the airport at 11.45am and their pickup timings slot was at 12pm.On asking they told that we had to confirm pickup which they never mentioned before. So we used grab taxi to reach there and we requested management to make drop off to airport free of cost which again they declined.They offered taxi service for double the price of grab taxi. For breakfast ,vegetarian items was not there for my friends and when we went there for having breakfast they told us we had to inform them before 24 hrs for vegetarian items.They never enquired whether we are vegetarians or not and not enquired about the pickup eventhough we asked about the timings and all. We thought pickup van will be there at those timings. They never gave you clear information regarding anything.. Moreover, rooms are very small. Don't fall into the good ratings of this hotel. Premium price and pathetic service
