This cozy, two-story haven offers an exceptional retreat for those looking to immerse themselves in the enchanting culture of Kyoto, while still enjoying the conveniences of a contemporary home. The moment I stepped into Maana Kyoto, I was instantly captivated by the tasteful blend of Japanese aesthetics and contemporary design. The heated floors throughout the house provided a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring a comfortable stay even during the colder months. The sleeping quarters at Maana Kyoto are nothing short of heavenly. The bed was incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. The authentic Japanese-style decor and soft, calming lighting added to the serene ambiance, making it easy to unwind and relax. The prime location of Maana Kyoto is another major draw, with the home rental situated within easy reach of many of Kyoto's most iconic attractions, as well as a wealth of charming shops and delightful eateries. This central location made it convenient to explore the city, while still offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We spent 2 weeks here in June. It is a place of healing and contemplation, full of sublime design details that revealed themselves during the stay, through the changing shades and shadows. It is in a residential area and where we had some of the more welcoming experiences in Kyoto. We enjoyed exploring the area and finding the little local places nestled around - Osteria Luna, the little sushi place north of Osteria Luna just before the train tracks, Stray Wine Bar, Torishige, a teppanyaki place run by a Japanese Grandma, the nearby bakery open 3 days a week, the ramen place along the main road where the neighbours flock to during the weekend ... There is also the Central Wholesale Market (fish, fruit, vege) across the main road which is less tourist-friendly but worth a look, and lots of smaller grills and restaurants peppering the space between the market and the science park. It took us awhile to realise, but the public transport links to the more "central" tourist areas are actually excellent. There is a bus stop along the main road that has regular direct buses to the main shopping area in central Kyoto, and also across the river to Gion (about 15 mins ride). Tambaguchi rail station is 2 stops from Kyoto station (a major rail junction) and on the same line to Arashimaya (so you can beat the morning crowds more easily). If you like walking (as I do), you could wander through the smaller lanes of the Shijo Omiya area to Nishiki market in about 30 mins. The support team while not onsite (since it is a holiday home not a hotel) is excellent, and responds promptly even on weekends and late in the night. It was a memorable stay, thank you very much!

Such a beautiful home in Kyoto! So special, since it is a traditional Japanese house, but it feels so modern and cozy. I visit Kyoto often, and I can stay here comfortably for long periods of time. The kitchen is perfect for cooking simple meals, equipped with beautiful Shigaraki plateware. I also love the fresh vegetable markets, super sento and JR station nearby, super convenient.

Amazing accommodation to feel right at home in a new city. Maana homes accommodated for my partner and I while we were exploring Kyoto. As a guest of the hotel you have the entire home private to really settle in. The bath was pure bliss to be able to soak in after a long day. The decor is traditional but enhanced enough for modern comfort, heated flooring, plenty of power outlets, comfortable bed, laundry and a well equipped kitchen when we felt like cooking for dinner. Aside from the hotel itself, the communication and recommendations of nearby points of interest personally selected by the owner was greatly appreciated and special. We can't wait to return to Maana when in Kyoto again.

Maana is an amazing place to stay at in Kyoto. The design is modern and it kept a lot of traditional Japanese elements. It really allowed us to embrace our Kyoto experience as a whole. The amenities were great and it was very comfortable. I especially liked their amazing tub! I would love to stay here again!

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
