Luckily we didn’t book this hotel for long period! Only go there because our main was not available for one day. Extremely loud numbers with wooden windows, you don’t need to go in Saba Bar you can here all from your room. No sockets in the room, in order to charge something you need to disconnect rather TV or fridge. And you can meet those lovely animals in your room as well.

Great location, with the beach at the doorstep. Spa pool for children as well. Large menu. WiFi is very unstable. Free entertainment on the beach each night.

Let me start by saying that many hotels and businesses have suffered from the Covid lockdowns. The island is in recovery mode and they are trying to keep things going. The hotel does need some maintenance, but overall my stay is good. They upgraded me to a sea view and pool view and the room was better than the standard room. The breakfast was free but the food was cold, the sterno was not keeping it hot. The coffee was horrible unfiltered and the juice was watered down. They do have and omelet station which was good and good toast. I’ll stick to that. The pool was nice but needed some love. The deck has seen it’s day. I ate on the beach the first night. The food was good. They do have direct beach access and bean bags with tables. They had a decent fire show. All in all the value was there for the discounted price. Note I had booked the Bamboo resort right down the street with no refunds. When I arrived I couldn’t believe how bad this place was. Absolutely nothing was done to keep the property up. Fortunately the Thai management agreed to refund me. The MAC resort is much better than the bamboo resort. Glad I made the change. Keep in mind when booking a holiday here that things may not be perfect but the island still has its charm.
