Macdonald Aviemore Highland Hotel

A very spacious large hotel complex. Everything well cared for. Restaurant very comfortably furnished with courteous, friendly staff. Rooms also tastefully equipped with very large comfortable beds, a walk-in shower and newly renovated bathroom. I was very happy here.

I am absolutely disgusted with my choice to book at this hotel. There are no aircons in the rooms and no option of portable fans even though the rooms were extremely hot and humid. To my surprise there were no refrigerators in the rooms as well thus my child's medicine could not be kept cold. When I called reception to enquire about above mentioned the lady I spoke to had such a bad attitude and provided no Solutions. We were booked in a room with a window that barely opens 15cm and it was directly above the bin area so the stench was unbearable. I took my toddler to go and play at the soft play area and the staff there had a bad attitude and when serving our ice cream it touched the refrigerator grill at the back of unit but still insisted on serving it to us. I must say this is the worst value for money and to think I paid £215 per night.
