        I recently had a dreadful experience at Makati Palace Hotel. The elevator is a nightmare – it's damaged, doesn't display floor numbers, and feels downright scary to use. Cockroaches roamed freely, and the air conditioning was more of a warm breeze than a cool relief. The receptionists lacked basic courtesy, and their p system glitches caused endless stress with bookings. The outdated facilities only added to the disappointment. To make matters worse, they insisted on payment due to their inability to locate our booking because of their system glitches. The customer service was disaster, especially Cathy, the unapologetic supervisor. It's safe to say, this is the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Even the bidet was damaged, and the phone system took an eternity to connect with anyone. A stay here is a recipe for frustration and regret.

        The elevator experience can get confusing. There was a leak from the ceiling inside the bedroom. The maintenance responded promptly and got this fixed. The audio on 3rd floor event hall needs upgrading. The hotel feels ancient but the furnitures, lights, and appliances are of quality and up to date. They have a limit on the drinking glasses. You must bring your own form of dehydration. I think pets are allowed as I heard barking in one unit. The exterior facade looks great although the street is filled with bars and foreigners, you know. It took me an hour to reach this place going from Quezon City. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.

        AVOID this hotel. Cockroach and other small insects infested! We checked in and the process was extremely slow and laborious, there was only one lady on reception and about 15 guests trying to check in, when we finally got seen to after about 20-25 mins we still didn’t have our rooms and were asked to sit and wait for an indefinite timeframe. Then after about another 15 minutes we finally got the keys to our room. We were taken to our room by the only helpful person around the bellboy. The lifts took a long time and there was no display in the lifts to say what floor you were on. The rooms were very old, dirty and smelly. We were not happy with the rooms as they did not reflect what was advertised on the website. We went to reception and paid to upgrade to the “renovated” rooms. Whilst these initially looked better they were far from clear, there were balls of hair and dust everywhere, when I walked in the room I was instantly greeted by a cockroach. I thought it might be a one off but as I walked through the room more roaches appeared and other small insects that were biting. The final straw was when I sat on the bed and a cockroach joined me in there too! I did not stay the night and checked out into another hotel. The staff did not care less and looking at the reviews they have made no attempt to improve the cleanliness and hygiene in this hotel. There are many other much nicer hotels around for no additional cost.

        Just wanted to say the staff is incompetent, and the manager with the missing teeth could not be told she was wrong about anything. The other receptionist was great. Bellboy helped me out. Check in was horribly slow, took almost 2 hours and I still had to pay an early check in fee.. Room was horrible, probably killed 10 roaches. Sink was dirty and I was hotter with the AC on than off.

        We checked in to this hotel for 3 nights. But checked out on the 2nd day because we couldn't stand the cockroaches we are seeing crawling everywhere in the room. Everytime my toddler ran around the room his feet turns black. So it seems like they don't vacuum shampoo their carpets. Services and staffs are good. Security is strick. But we want to live comfy in our room without worrying about these insects.
