This place was SO AWESOME. I could write an entire novel on my stay here. The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is that of a *very* upscale hotel (which it absolutely is), and the historic significance of the place cannot be overstated. They give you a tour of the building when you check in and explain the significance of each room and each major thing going on in the hotel, and it's absolutely fascinating. One of the highlights of my stay in Japan, for sure.

Absolutely masterpiece. Experience the history while enjoying all the modern convenience. I love the design of their library, with all real, well organized books and not just for decoration. All staffs are friendly and helpful. There are staffs who can speak English, Mandarin and Spanish (if I recognize it correctly…) Strongly recommend, no matter if you are a fan of Nintendo or not. I will stay again next time I come to Kyoto.

This is the best place I have ever stayed in Japan. Hotel staff were super friendly and thoughtful. I was warmly welcomed by them and I really appreciated it. Thank you very much for showing me around the hotel and talking to such a chatterbox like me. The hotel room was very clean and spacious. Carta's pancakes and sparkling tea are out of this world. Surely I will visit again :D !

Staying at the Marufukuro in Kyoto was an unforgettable experience. This building, once the headquarters of Nintendo, has been masterfully transformed into a charming hotel by the renowned architect Tadao Ando. Every corner whispers stories of the past, blended seamlessly with modern comfort and elegance. I would like to extend my special thanks to Mr. Chou from China for his warm service and insightful explanations. His narratives deepened my understanding of this historic structure. The Marufukuro is more than just a place to stay; it’s a journey through history.

We totally enjoyed our stay here! Took loads of photos and every corner of the hotel is worth exploring. I like that it’s located at a quaint neighborhood. There’s a train station nearby, after crossing the bridge, which is still considered accessible. Rooms are spacious and clean. We like to chill out at the different lounges in the evening. The breakfast can be improved though. Japanese breakfast is more of a fusion, not traditional japanese style. Surprisingly, western breakfast tasted better. You can consider booking the breakfast for just one day and go for other breakfasts if you are staying for more than a day. Staff are really friendly and helpful which made our stay there extremely nice.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.
