        This is a good hotel: the location right next to the main railway station and two tram lines is excellent, the room was nice, the personnel friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast excellent, better than at a lot of French hotels! And even though the location is next to a lot of traffic, there was no traffic noise indoors as the windows have very good soundproofing. This is the best hotel I have used in Bordeaux so far, much better than anything at the airport for example. Highly recommended!

        We stayed here after an unpleasant airbnb experience meant we needed somewhere last minute and were catching a train the next day with lots of luggage and our two young children. We got the Mercure and it was great experience. Rooms were modern, and clean, location was perfect for the train the next day, and breakfast was really good. Would recommend.

        We chose this hotel based on its location and access to rail and bus lines. The room we were upgraded to, due to my membership was quite large and well appointed. Unfortunately the English language channels were unavailable during our stay, even after a couple of prompts to hotel management. They did try their best to rectify this, but said the company responsible for it would rectify it when they could. Also room service was fine, but did not provide toilet paper two days in a row, I eventually asked management for some, they provided it immediately. The room wasn't vacuumed either on the daily clean, something I thought would have been standard. The restaurant Le Saint - Jean was excellent, good food well priced. Angele on check in was also very good, checking us in quickly and explaining the green initiatives. One word to anyone staying near here, there does seem to be a lot of vagrants and many itenerant people. I would suggest use the tram system to travel and be situationally aware at all times.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
