        Hotel facilities are good but I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel, and I hope anyone considering a stay here will take note of this review. I did not request a room cleaning, but the hotel staff entered my room and took my entire bag of Lush bath bombs that were still in the paper bag without my permission. This paper bag was with my belongings, indicating that I did not treat it as garbage. Even for a routine cleanup, there was no reason to touch it and consider this bag as garbage to throw it away, especially since it contained heavy and unused bath bombs. When I raised the issue with the manager, there was no apology. Instead, I was told that the staff responsible for entering my room was not present, and I should wait until this staff was on duty the next day, and she told me that she could help me solve the problem next day at 5-6pm. I called again the next day at the agreed time and another manager took my call. Since I couldn't find the store and was hoping to get my lost items back, I was told that the employee who had entered my room was already off work today and we would have to wait until tomorrow. As we had to check out the next day, I didn’t have time to enjoy the bath bombs either. In the end, they apologized to me and negotiated that they would pay us $40 as compensation. This kind of behavior, throwing away a customer’s personal belongings without permission, should never happen in a hotel. Thankfully, I only lost my bath bombs this time. In the future, if they threw away my USB stick with my final year’s art portfolio for no reason and asked me to wait until the next day, I would immediately call the police.

        First time for everything. Didn't know cairns had a Mecure motel. Thanks to my brother in law I now know. Loved my stay. Friendliest staff, perfect location if you love to walk, perfect restaurants nearby. I've already recommended to my family friends and colleagues will definitely come back to stay

        Overall not bad. Location is fine - close enough to most places you want to be in downtown Cairns ie: Lagoon Pool, Aquarium, RSL, waterfront walking, night markets/restaurants etc. Staff quite friendly. Dinner and breakfast options quite good and pool OK too. With kids in tow however I'd probably look for an alternative next time.

        I had a great experience on the whole - couple of issues (leaking Air Con and no Power for a few hours another night) but both issues were resolved to my satisfaction - no fuss. Any hotel can have issues like the ones I had - what puts Mercure Cairns apart from other hotels I have stayed in is how they dealt with it. Every staff member was friendly and appologetic (even though neither of these issues were their fault), the staff went above and beyond to resolve my issues. As I said this hotel was perfectly located for my needs as I was traveling on business it was not far from where I had to travel to each day, and a short walk to multiple places to eat for breakfast and dinner, only a few blocks from Cairns shopping centre as well

        Upon arrival I asked for a king bed room upgrade inline with my ALL limitless status and the staff member stated that the hotel does not have any rooms with King Bed, yet when looking online, the hotel offers a king bed room and a queen bed room with Spa. This was very disappointing. The restaurant is seriously lacking in variety and closed early. We were also asked to leave the outside area around the pool as they wanted to lock the gate. Very disappointing stay to say the least.

          The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.
