The place looks and feels amazing, actually has a unique sense of soul that really does feel like it belongs where it is, in the thick of the streets/alleys of Shinsaibashi. Brave design and theme, but we really enjoyed it. As others have said, yes it’s dark themed, I feel like if they just added ONE bright light or makeup lighting to the vanity /dresser it would go a long way. I was shocked to see how I actually looked after not really being able to see myself properly in the mirror for 3 days! Also, definitely need better ventilation in the shower closet, you can’t manually override it. You can adjust the AC to your taste though. Overall a really impressive place to stay with an awesome lobby/lounge area to rest in before and after check in/out. The attention to design value-added to the stay for me, however I would agree with others in that, the lighting is a case of ‘form over function’ and needs to be addressed. I wouldn’t let that get in the way of booking again though!! Great stay

Exceptional service - the front desk helped me to arrange taxi to the airport and it was not easy because they were fully booked. The person tried many times and finally found a taxi for us, much to our relief. The front desk is trained to ask all the right questions, staying calm. They also helped to receive my transferred luggage from another hotel. All timely and accurately. It deserved a 6 star for such exceptional service. The hotel ambience has a calming effect as it is dark but lighted on the areas that you need to see. We have no problem even though some people commented on it. Great location Room size is comfortable and considered a fair size, in fact, slightly larger and well planned. Breakfast has a good spread. Think it is great to open at 6.30 am as it gives maximum time to have an early start. Highly recommended for couple and families.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed as an Accor Platinum member. Great service and the room was fabulous. Located at a wonderful location, making shopping and meals within walking distance. I would recommend that the breakfast providing a few more changes as I was staying there for 7 nights and it gets boring after the first few days.

Fantastic location, within walking distance to Shinsaibashi and Dotonburi so you can shop and drop off your belonging at the hotel. Family mart just seconds away from your doorstep. Other than that, the rooms are clean and all you need for a good night's rest. Ask for amenities at the front desk, 2 bottles of drinking water are complimentary. Breakfast spread is good too!

The staff were very helpful and the room was a good size- the location was also good. Unfortunately the room itself was a bit dirty, and the furniture was showing signs of wear and tear. One of the pillows on the bed was half-filled with bean bag filling. Very strange. The corridors and rooms are also incredibly dark- low lighting combined with dark walls. It makes the rooms feel even more drab. It was well priced, but I would have at least expected the room cleanliness to be better.
