turned up at 10pm to find they did not have a room for us. they found one for us that we had to pay for at the opposite end of Venice. we were promised a room for the next night and had to argue to get it. whilst we were there, at least 5 other couples were turned away. breakfast was adequate. had one evening meal there. it was the worst meal we had in a week. white wine served at room temperature, 30 degrees c. items substituted in some dishes, mozzarella tomato and basil is not the same when the basil is substituted with iceberg lettuce. staff were incompetent.

Staff were unfriendly and unaware of what they should be doing. Have you ever checked in in a hotel room and find someone else's stuff inside?! Well, it seems that two other ladies had checked in the room they gave us just couple of hours ago.. No, it's not a joke, this really happened. Air conditioning wasn't working properly, breakfast products very poor for Italian standards. Pictures of rooms were probably taken 10 years ago as they do not correspond to current situation.

RUINED VENICE EXPERIENCE, strung us along in reception all day to then be told after 7 hours that we can’t stay there. Staff were rude gave poor directions and next to no help all day. We thought that them not giving us the room we paid for ruined the experience but after reading the reviews have realised it was a blessing the place is crawling with bed bugs. There were people all day experiencing what we did, place should be shut down
