        UPDATE: We returned to this hotel a week after our first stay and it remains the same with our original review, I only added new video for our 2nd room where we stayed for 5 days ORIGINAL: We stayed here for 6 days. Hotel is almost fully automated At the ground floor behind front desk are smoking area, microwave, washing machine and water dispenser.. Professional service from the staff. 7 to 10 mins walk from Kyoto Station. We booked via agoda, when we checked in, we payed additional tax (I think it is city tax). Overall the experience is nice and will surely go back again.

        Quite far away from the main rail station and the opposite way from most attractions in Kyoto, luckily it had a 7 Eleven on the corner. Our room was very small and had a wonderful view on the black brick wall of the nearby building less than a meter away from the window. At night there was a device emitting a strong blue light and clicking sounds (which I suppose is for the TV) which was quite annoying. Hotel is mostly automated and cleaning only twice a week. It did have a small bathtub though but no pyjamas.

        This hotel was clean, and comfortable. Room was not that small, and latrine was not that small too. And also, the location was fine. If you are planing to visit kyoto in reasonable price, this hotel can be a good choice
