It was a SCAM hotel. It was a bad experience visiting Ha Long Bay for the first time. I booked the Muong Thanh hotel because I knew it was a famous hotel that was supposed to have good service. However, it was the complete opposite as I got scammed by the Muong Thanh hotel's driver service. Since it was my first time, I asked around to make sure about the price. Muong Thanh quoted me '1 way: 900 VND, 2 ways: 1100 VND.' I was fine with that price. After Muong Thanh's driver picked me up and dropped off our family at the hotel, they explained that '2 ways' meant back and forth in a day, not a round trip that includes pick up from the airport, stay there, and then driving back to the airport. This meant their explanation indicated 4 ways, which they did not clarify earlier. After getting scammed, I also called them to pretend to be a new customer asking about the pick-up service. They explained that a round trip meant picking up from the hotel and driving back to the airport after the stay there. Upon calling them to inquire about the reason for the confusion, they offered me 200 VND back, but I declined it because I was extremely disappointed with their service. I could have booked outside for only 600 VND with a sedan car; I didn't need a 7-seat car. It was a clear case of a scam by the hotel

This is right in front of the bay and is a clean and pleasant place. Local food, coffee, and some continental food places are in the vicinity. Rooms are well-maintained. Grab cabs are easily available. It is close to the Port office from where the Halong Bay cruise starts. The buffet is really good. Staff is friendly, especially the restaurant staff.

First of all there are 6 Muong Thanh hotel in Ha Long city, be sure that you are going to the correct one. Hotel is nice, clean and location is perfect. Breakfast was good more based on Asian style breakfast with limited western options. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately i only have pics of the view. The room is nothing exceptional. I stayed in a twin bedroom. It was small, no bathtub, nightlight wasn't screw on right. There's a weight scale with no batteries. It's a 20 minutes walk to sunworld. Oh and bathroom light is yellow, made it kind of hard for my friend to do her make-up. There's only one key card, you have to put a deposit of 50.000 VND for another one (you get it back once you return the card). There's a gym, a spa (with additional fee), an indoor pool.

You should call it “Muong Thanh Grand Motel” rather than a real 4-star hotel. The lights are so dark, the TV doesn’t work… Most of rooms are shared with the other rooms by a single door and the noise from the other rooms kill your sleep.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
