i just checked in today . The first impression is good . the reception was very good.Mrs. Ink is very welcoming with a good spirit👍🏻. when i check out i will post my overall review. after the check out (i already did today ) the hotel is wow i love it . the room view is the best view i ever seen. the restaurant is yummy. the stuff are welcoming. the beach is almost private but i unfortunately i don’t like to step on corals but they can’t do anything about . the location is good not bad . overall 9 out of 10 . and i would like to visit again.
Can hardly fault our stay at My Beach Resort. We were here for 14 nights in a Premier pool access room and it was perfect. The pool from our room was almost private as there are only 6 rooms access it and we made use of it almost every day. The area the hotel is in is fairly quiet and there is a small village a 5/10 minute walk with everything you would want. There are nice restaurants, local shops, small supermarket and massage places. Perfect. Worth noting there are construction works at the site next door (June 2023) which I think will last another year at least but you would hardly know as it was very quiet. Because of its more rural location you will require a taxi everywhere. We use an app called Bolt and it was only 220baht from the hotel to town which is very cheap.
Giving 2 stars only because the view was amazing and the staff was polite (although not very helpful). Apart from that, the hotel is closer to 1 star. Definitely very far away from 5 stars! The biggest issue was the lack of cleanliness which looks like a recurring feedback from most of the reviews. Our room was absolutely disgusting where almost every part of the room was dirty and stained - from floor, to furniture, to ceiling. Attached photos depict the situation well (although they don’t include everything). Also there was a solid 5mm layer of dust on anything higher than 6 feet (top cupboards and light fixtures). We showed all of this to one of the maids asking to clean the room properly however nothing was done throughout our stay. All this filth created a very uneasy feeling and left us unrested in the mornings. The rest of the hotel seemed cleaner however some appliances were damaged and not maintained at all. Looks like certain broken things were being put together by unskilled staff instead of professional repairers which left an embarrassing image. Even our toilet lid was broken upon our arrival however the hotel staff managed to put it back together all within 10 minutes which was impressive and unexpected. The best maintained facility was the gym (if you can call it that) because it is the size of an average bathroom. It included a bench, some dumbbells and a few yoga mats - no other equipment! I assume it’s maintained well because nobody uses it. Furthermore as others have mentioned already the beach was small and the sea was shallow and rough. Oh and there is no lift! Everyone has to take multiple flights of stairs to get to the beach, pools or the restaurant. All these issues (and more) kept us away from using any of the hotel facilities, even the restaurant, so we ended up only using our room to stay the nights. Overall it looks like the hotel was built not long ago but unfortunately doesn’t feel new at all because of lack of proper maintenance.
Excellent place to relax. Good buffet breakfast and beautiful views in particular the sunset but the beach at the property is not very well kept and the water was brownish. Not easy to walk around (but not impossible), there is a nice beach walking distance Bandara Beach with the best beach front cafe and bar and most of the walking can be done on the beach. ( I strongly recommend doing this).
I really loved my stay here. The staff were sooo lovely. They really helped me with anything I needed. I travelled to Thailand alone and they were very helpful with drivers from the hotel taking me where I wanted to go. My room was beautiful and I loved having my own pool. I used it a lot. The beach was beautiful to walk along. And the sunsets were lovely. The beach wasn’t great for swimming but the hotel pool was very big so plenty of room to swim. The food was good and I enjoyed everything I ate there. Would stay again. Also I did the cooking class and I really enjoyed it. It was fun!
