Bought a drink at the restaurant and sat in a hammock. Was then told the hammock cost 30,000 VND to use. There were no other guests at the restaurant. The coconuts weren’t cold and the staff were disinterested

Too expencive for old buildings full of musquitos and mouses. The sea is dirty. The beach is veryyyyy dirty. No one cleans up!!! After 19:00 everything is closed you can not even find a bottle of water. The rooms are old and smelly very expencive for what they give you (650.000 dong equal to about 23 euros). If you leave your door open for two minutes mosquitos and big rats will be inside. The ants are already inside everywhere you will leave food. The personel does not collect its own trash. Avoid this place, untill they make it up. (Only good behaviour from the girl called "sky") This is a place that you should pay mostly 100.000 dong (4$). Less than a hostel.

I am an experienced traveller but never before have I given a one star review until now. We went for food at the restaurant, ordered fresh seafood noodles and fish, and were given instant noodles with fish and squid that came straight from the freezer. The fish was undercooked too. The location on the beachfront is nice, but the buildings are dilapidated, and the beach itself is full of trash, insects (because of the trash) and wild dogs. I would not recommend going here, and also to leave aside Sao beach at all. There are much more beautiful beaches and places all across Phu Quoc!

Don't be fooled by the photos like I was. Some of the photo is not even part of the resort. The pictures in the room was taken once a upon a time. The place is a dump. For the price I should have recieved something at least decent or funcrional. Room was falling apart. At first, they switched rooms, because we pointed out the rear window didn't lock. The tv was not useable in both rooms, no lock or handle on bathroom, shower doesn't work, so there's a bucket with a scooper to splash yourself down. No hot water. AC was weak, on maximum barely kept the room cool. Wifi is slow. There was cockrotches in the room. Only reason it even gets a 1 star, location is good, but filthy, garbage littered all over the beach. It's a shame, because it is a nice beach. Food is way over price and not worth it. Go eat elsewhere. There's a place 2 places down has better food and portion, cheaper. Final thoughts, I would never stay here again. Unless, above issues has been addressed.
