Nature’s Rest is a little slice of heaven just outside of Ella. You turn off the road onto a concrete path leading you through tea plantations and then along a dirt track bordered by towering tropical vegetation and then you reach this haven. The two guest rooms are very nicely furnished with everything you need and the views from the terrace are absolutely stunning. However, what really makes this are the hosts, Suresh, Suganthi and their incredibly polite and friendly children. They are some of the most helpful and caring hosts you could wish to find anywhere. And as for the food….delicious. This is not the place if you want to be in the centre of the action, but for me this area is all about the views and tea and you could not be in a better place to appreciate that than Nature’s Rest

It was an incredible time with the family and the place was very quite and relaxing. Suresh the boss host of the family was so amazing, he just bring us to the best places and organized everything! Also his sister was cooking delicious food every morning and night. Such an amazing place to relax and come closer to the nature. I really recommend this unique place!!! Thanks on the whole family.

The best peaceful place to stay in Ella! Highly recommend: a clean, beautiful, colorful place in silence and with magical view! Internet 4g allows you to work at a computer, for me it was important! Food and service at the highest level, the city is easily accessible by Tuk-Tuk, the owner is responsive and always helpful!

Absolutely recommended accommodation! Idyllically located in the middle of the tea plantations with a fantastic view of the valley, which is also home to the host family's tropical garden. Everything is very clean. Renovated bathroom with hot water. The host family lives on site in the 2nd house; The house in front has 2 guest rooms, each with access to the covered veranda. The host family is super warm, polite and helpful. The mother, Suganthi, is a fabulous cook. We ordered half board straight away and can only recommend it - both in terms of taste and in terms of price-performance ratio. Real authentic home cooked food. Individual preferences (e.g. vegetarian) are of course taken into account. The breakfast was fantastic with changing local specialties. There was always a fresh fruit plate. The father Suresh can give you lots of tips about sights in the region and also valuable advice on how to avoid overpriced tourist traps. Don't worry about the remote location: Suresh has his own TukTuk and will drive you anywhere at a super affordable price or pick you up after a hike or similar. Communication is easy via WhatsApp - booking is also possible. We booked the first night through booking and extended it on site to save the family commissions. We are very happy to have found this accommodation and can recommend it without reservation!
