We had a very nice stay here for 4 nights. The room is very spacious and the location is good. Train station and bus stops are nearby, making visits to places of interest very convenient. The breakfast is nice. The flexibiliity of having lunch instead of breakfast is good. The portion of food is big and delicious too. The staff are friendly and helpful. I appreciate their help in locating my backpack that I inadvertently left at the airport. They also arranged with the Customs Officer for me to collect it at the airport when I left Osaka. Thanks for the awesome service.

Im in two minds to write a review for this exceptional hotel as, selfishly, I want to be able to book to come back to stay. I gave 5/5 in all areas but the special award goes to the female receptionist staff who had been nothing but extraordinary in service and assistance! I cannot thank the Noku Kyoto enough for having us as your guests.

We stayed in this hotel from 31 Oct-2 Nov 2023 and gave it 5 stars for the following reasons:- 1) Location: Excellent! Right next to the train station. We could come from Osaka Kansai Airport to the hotel in just 1.5 hours via Trains. The hotel room also had a view of the large park of Kyoto Imperial Palace 2) Breakfast: enjoyed the freshly prepared warm and yummy breakfast. If you are a late riser, there is a choice to convert the breakfast to a brunch meal. Very thoughtful 3) Rooms: Rooms are spacious, clean and modern! Great value for the price 4) English speaking Front desk: this was a plus point for us as it was easy to get recommendations for the nice restaurants around the hotel We will be back!

My recent stay at Noku was out of this world…The booking process was stress-free, pre-check in storage was helpful given I had a large amount of luggage. The Front Desk staff were polite and courteous yet friendly and personable at the same time. The room was spacious and well-appointed with EVERYTHING I needed without feeling crowded. Little details like the welcome pack and even setting the alarm, giving my a wake-up call made all the difference. I had the pleasure of meeting the no doubt busy hotel manager, Keren Miers. All of the above I put down to his guidance and training of his staff. I couldn’t ask for better value and a better experience - oh and did I mention the location? It’s only moments away from the Imperial Palace. Stay!

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The Aircon function is manual so unfortunately it can get very cold even with the low fan setting. The best part of this stay is the location of the hotel. It is located next to the train station which makes it convenient to travel. The least enjoyable part of this stay is the hotel's front desk staff. They're a mix of Japanese and foreign staff who don't seem to understand English questions. The Japanese staff are much friendlier than the foreign staff who seemed very clueless or unfriendly. The worst experience is when I asked whether the hotel has a sewing kit and the staff just rudely answered "you have to get it yourself." A sincere explanation saying there is none would be sufficient. All in all, don't think I will come back because of the poor staff service.
