        We were always greeted with a friendly smile- at the reception desk and at the restaurant. The room was tidy and well-cleaned everyday. The bed was very comfortable. The only problem was the ventilation- no windows that could be opened so we had to rely on the air com system which could leave us feeling dehydrated. Would be much better to have opening windows. Loved the mini bar, although we needed to have two of everything available. No complaints. Highly recommended.

        We've stayed at this hotel many times and it is lovely. Great position, close to the rail and just off the motorway. Rooms are lovely and it's always nice and clean. Friendly, helpful staff.

        Stayed here for one night. It was my first time here and I booked because the rate was great compared to other Auckland hotels. Getting to the hotel was nice and easy, just the main highway. Parking is gated and there’s plenty of space. Reception was also spacious and the hotel was decked out with FIFA decorations because the women’s World Cup was on - I was lucky to see some of the Argentinian team. The room was nice and comfortable, with all the amenities needed. The bed nice and soft. I had a great sleep. Although you’re right next to the main highway I didn’t notice the noise. I had a couple drinks in the bar. It was pretty quiet so no waiting for service. I was going to eat at the restaurant for dinner but changed my mind after reading reviews that were mostly negative. The menu was quite pricey too. I used the gym in the morning. It was well equipped with modern equipment and views out to the highway. Overall a pleasant stay.

        Novotel was a great choice. It’s family friendly, welcoming and helpful service staff with an easy check in/out. The hotel was clean, buffet breakfast had a good variety for everyone (the fresh orange juice was great). The location is ideal and so close to all destinations in Auckland. Only set back was the lack of ventilation so we had to have the aircon on most of the time, and the carpet in the room was a small issue, not allergy friendly. All in all, i would definitely come back and stay again, the experience was good.

        Rooms were good size and quiet, and the bed was reasonably good. However, their internal phone system was not operational, and we had to struggle to get hold of the hotel staff with the room phone. Of course, we did not realize this problem prior, but ultimately contacted them externally via their common Accor hotel channel via our mobile. Though the location is central to Auckland, there are no cafes or shops at a walking distance. There is no problem if you have a car at your disposal.

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
