The proof is in the patronage: Oakwood has been my go-to Nairobi hotel since I discovered it nearly 20 years. I've been coming to Kenya for the last 45 years and there is no other place that I've remained as loyal to. I've also brought several friends here over the years who have also made it their base whenever they come to town. Why? - Great location for a reasonable price. Right in the central business district at less than a quarter of the price of the nearby big name hotels. Are the rooms comparable? No. Are they comfortable and clean? Yes! - Super helpful and friendly staff. Front desk, waiters, and cleaning staff are all fantastic! They'll go the extra mile for you every time! - Excellent security. I've never had any problems in all the years I've stayed here. Only downside is that parking is a problem. The hotel fronts on busy Kimathi st. So, coming with your own car can be a challenge. But, if you come by taxi and have luggage, you just need to alert the watchman who stands at the front entrance. He will meet you at the alley behind the hotel to help you. Highly recommend! Check it out!

The Oakwood has excellent service, a friendly staff, and a great breakfast. It is in walking distance to shops, one of the Maasai markets, and a good grocery store. I highly recommend it for short or long stays in Nairobi. Affordable, quiet, comfortable.

The suite was huge and nice. If you stay for more than 2 weeks they even give you a welcome gift which would be a bottle of soft drink, cornflakes, crisps, a lotus powder pack and some bit more. I don't really remember everything. House cleaning services were good. The breakfast was good too. Not much variety for vegetarians though. But good enough otherwise. Loved my stay here.

Ambience from the 80s. It's quite historic. They actually have those old lifts that you see in movies. It's like a 4 star hotel. Open 24 hours ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Quiet place. It's a hidden jewel. Good food. Menu is a la carte. Food is always fresh. Prepared on oder by the Chef so expect a bit of a wait. Food is worth the wait. Staff are courteous. Good place to sit and talk.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
