I liked this hotel very much! Clean modern comfortable rooms, great location, friendly staff. Fantastic views from the hotel. We didn't have breakfast or use other facilities. One downside, it's on a very busy road, so can sometimes be noisy.

We booked two nights at the Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu and wish we stayed longer. The room was bigger than other hotel rooms in Japan. The hotel was clean and the location was perfect for us. Would stay here again. By far the best hotel we stayed in.

Japanese room with temple view; Temple is nothing special and the window is so small. You can't call it a view. So don't bother to book that room. Strange system using the elevator. No direct access. Always have to go up and down when you want to leave the hotel (you have to change elevators). Room overall was nice. Bathroom seperated with toilet was a good thing. Only the light of the toiletroom didn't go out immediately at night. So the light was still on for a while. No seperate lightning in the small space between the toilet and bathroom. Roomsize was good. Enough space with two big suitcases. Breakfast all day the same. Poor offer of breads. Very dry, so you had to put them in the toaster. So many coughing, nose blowing, unhealthy Chinese people. Not bashing Chinese people, I am Asian myself. During check out frontdesk didn't ask anything about our stay. The lady just asked for the keycard and said 'bye'. Strange! Sent an email to the hotel afterwards, but the hotel just said they can't handle a more strict policy. Why not?? Everywhere in Japan is about rules, consideration and health. So set a good example. My husband and I both got sick and the hotel could have handled it better. Now we are both sick during our trip...and still are after the one and a half week we left Osaka. Why giving a guy another napkin when he blew his nose a 100 times at the breakfast table?? Ridiculous! Wouldn't recommend this hotel even if the location is good. Better options available!

Room was spacious to open up our two large luggages and able to move around without closing them up. It was quiet in contrary to past reviews, you will hear street noise if you open up the window though. We slept well for the three nights. You do have to go through the reception at Level 16 to go down to your room. Use Exit 18 for lift if you’re carrying big luggages. Otherwise you have to climb a few sets of stairs at the nearest exit. We walked down to Dotonbori on most days, it took us 20 minutes stroll to get there.

We booked these Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu after some good review Indeed it is bigger and better than i thought. The toilet and bathroom were separated. Only issue is there no wall hook in bathroom & toilet and also the lift to lobby & hotel rooms are different. Other than that the hotel was clean it is located near to Dotonbori Glico Sign, Don Quijote & Shinsaibashi shopping street..just a 20 minutes walk. There is also lightings along the main road just outside the hotel. If ever back here, will be staying this hotel again.
