Very nice hotel. Exceptionally clean. Price is good 7500y per night, booked 3 nights. Location is good. Rooms small, but quality of fittings is better than smiling hotels. Only poor element is the poor view from the windows. Update: after 2 nights the light coming in from the adjacent office block interfered with my sleep, something that needs attention as per other reviews.

Rooms: super small. The air vents aren’t cleaned, heavily dust coming out when using AC. Super unpleasant. The AC also broken as when turning on the heat, it gets super hot to 26C, when it’s supposed to be set to max 22C. Service: pleasant that you can either request to makeup the room or do not disturb but putting out a sign. Also, option to change linen. Aside from the great cleaning service for the bed and bathroom area. The window and ceilings aren’t clean, so the room is still dusty. Location: fairly short walk convenient subway and close to Starbucks, family mart. Many outdoor noise going on.

We booked a Family room, which was very tiny but were most disappointed with the orientation of the room as the view from our room window was the back of a building. We chose this hotel for its name, Osaka ViewHotel, yet our window was fully obstructed. The other downside was that building next door had bright lights on, the whole night, completely illuminating our room. We had no curtains to block it off and struggled to sleep in such a bright room.

This hotel was the base for my stay in Osaka for 8 nights that I was able to book at a great rate in advance. Just a short walk to Honmachi Station there are 3 train lines accessible including the main Midosuji Line. Front of house staff and house keeping services were excellent. I was able to utilise the guest lounge for free juice/tea/coffee as well. I loved the view of the Buddhist temple from my room, it gave a special feeling to staying in that area. The windows can be opened for fresh air. The thing that can be improved however were the mattresses, they were pretty hard. Sleeping on my back was okay but maybe not for main side sleepers. The hotel location is away from the main tourist areas which could be a bit of a disadvantage, but being based on Midosuji Line helps. I focused on saving money and having a modern place to stay so I found a good balance here.
