        This is my first bad review ever, but I think I need to share to alert the hotel management team. The hotel staff lack training. My partner fell on wet stairs while staff was doing water works without putting out a caution sign. Nobody came to check on us even though they witnessed what just happened. I had to ask multiple times for the guy who’s doing the water work to put out a sign to prevent further injuries, but the first thing he said was ‘I didn’t put water there, it’s not my fault’. It’s hard to imagine that’s an answer from a 4 star hotel! The room was not clean when we checked in. There are rings of drinks, food scraps on the floor and foot print on the toilet. The house keeping team was doing the minimum work. Our hand soap remained empty for TWO days. The hotel itself was very old and outdated, no sound proof and poor wifi connection. They definitely don’t deserve to be a 4 stars hotel in any kind of level. I will definitely not be coming back or recommend anyone to this place when visiting Cairns.

        This hotel has everything you need! I spent a night here recently on a work trip and honestly cannot fault it. The location is fantastic. You are a 30 second walk from the reef fleet terminal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were exceptionally clean and very comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again for work or pleasure.

        BEWARE OF ANTS 🐜🐜🐜 Unfortunately the quality of this hotel and its hospitality is appalling. There was an ant infestation in our room and we had to go through all of our stuff and throw away our food due to the obvious presence of pests. Pacific Hotel handled the situation by moving us to another room BUT on the same floor with a parking lot view (even though our original room has an ocean view). At the time, I understood that there was no manager on site to deal with this properly and accordingly. However, I am extremely disappointed with how guests are taken care of when there is an obvious bug problem. BEWARE! The ants were all over the baseboards, desk, and coffee/tea station. I am serious when I say there were over 50 ants next to our stuff and food within the first 2 hours of our stay. The next day I wanted to speak to a manager but there was no note of the incident and no accountability to apologize in person for the situation. Instead I was put in an awkward position to ask for compensation and was presented with a bottle of wine without an apology. I kindly declined, but walked away furious as this is not the kind of hospitality and care I expect from any hotel. Clearly management did not want to make an effort to apologize appropriately and instead offer alcohol to woman who is trying to get pregnant. As a first time guest, I absolutely will NOT be returning. I will not be recommending this hotel to any family and friends nor to anyone else considering this accommodation as an option in Cairns. Maybe if there were no problems during our stay it would have been lovely but clearly taking care of customers and their comfort is not a consideration for this ant hotel 🐜.

        Decent hotel in prime location. Rooms are comfy, spacious and clean. Only thing I didn’t care for was the fact housekeeping cleans the room every other day instead of everyday. Breakfast was just okay.

        Good good good. Very clean and fresh rooms. Not feeling humidity from inside the room despite very hot and humid outside. Aircon working very well. There’s laundry near the room, $6 per wash, could have change from reception. The Brazilian bbq was ok, and has discount for hotel guests.
