Chicago. The windy city, home of deep dish pizza and dazzling architecture. I found myself stepping into history within the grand lobby of the Palmer House a Hilton Hotel. Marble columns soared skyward and a busy but polite staff buzzed about the spacious area, attending to guests. Wandering the halls made me feel as if I had travelled back in time, to a statelier era when hotels provided not just accommodation but experience. Dark wood paneling and antique furnishings gave the impression of a luxurious mansion. Pausing to peer out tall windows overlooking the Chicago River, I spotted ferries transporting sightseers past iconic landmarks like Wrigley Field and the Water Tower. After checking in, the comfortable guest room provided a soothing oasis amid downtown bustle. I rested a while before venturing out to explore. On my way to sample renowned Chicago deep dish, I passed through the lavish Palmer House ballroom where presidents have spoken and celebrities have been spotted. Historic yet elegant atmosphere permeates this renowned hotel, offering visitors a privileged glimpse into Chicago's cultural heritage from a privileged urban outpost. With superb service and central location near attractions, the Palmer House certainly earns its stellar reviews.

Stayed here for the first time the week before Christmas. Cannot say enough great things about it! The entire place was impeccably decorated for the holidays. Every staff member that we encountered was more than pleasant and helpful. We had a corner room with windows on both outside walls, the blackout curtains were fantastic, they completely darkened the room even in the middle of the day. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and tidy. Will definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at the Palmer House for a work trip I attended. The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff did a good job over my three night stay. The lobby is beautiful, especially if you are staying there during the holiday season. It is centrally located in Downtown Chicago close to restaurants, shops, theatres, public transit, etc. The hotel restaurant/bar is also very good, I ordered a nice mixed drink there. The only minor critique is that the water was not very hot in the shower on the highest setting.

This is my second time at The Palmer House. I absolutely love this hotel. Its history and quality of service is outstanding. I made this trip as part of my Art institute getaway weekend. The Lockwood restaurant has great food. The check in and checkout staff were fantastic. The pool is clean and fairly quiet. My favorite part of the stay is the fact that the rooms are super super quiet. I was looking for this for sure. When I was in my room (which is clean and elegantly decorated) I felt like I was in a world all my own. I will definitely be staying here again in the future. My only complaint is that the pillows were insufficient. I had 4 on the bed but they were not comfortable. My last stay they were and I had called room service to get more. I chose not to this time and I wish I had. This is more of a personal preference for myself rather then a bad service issue.

The Palmer House has always been a favorite of mine when I stay in Chicago. The rooms are always clean and wonderfully furnished especially for a historic hotel. The reception staff is always friendly and accommodating. My last stay this past weekend was lovely even though they were experiencing some app related issues with their digital check-in. It was the first time I’ve been in a line for members longer than the regular check-in. It’s my usual go-to hotel due to its proximity to the art museum and other theaters in the area. Despite being in the loop which can be questionable at night, the hotel itself feels very safe. And their lobby bar is definitely a must while visiting. The hotel was beautiful in their holdiay decorations to is past weekend. The room was a corner room and was exceptionally quiet. The only minor complaint which is very minor, there was a used soap bar in the shower tray which must have been overlooked. But again, it’s very minor. Even though it’s not as modern as London House which I also stay at sometimes in Chicago, Palmer is still a friendlier and quieter.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
