        Some of the reviews on here made me a bit wary of this hotel but they couldn’t have been more wrong. This hotel is literally heaven. So close to the main strip of shops and the beach. The pool is just beautiful, so great for young kids. They have communal toys for all the kids to play with on the sand, poolside service, amaaaazing food and cocktails on offer & the rooms are amazing. We stayed in the 3 bedroom penthouse and it was worth every cent. The private pool was so much fun and the living area/kitchen was so spacious and clean. The service was also fabulous in the restaurants, front desk and housekeeping. There are some really lovely people working at this hotel and I hope you are able to pass on this feedback to everyone working last week because we didn’t have one bad interaction. Thank you Peppers we will be back!

        Beautiful resort with a wonderful vibe. The swimming pool is fantastic too. My only criticism was with the way the staff handled the ramifications of cyclone Jasper. We had no power resulting in no hot water, food services or the ability to charge our phones. I understand that everybody was under pressure and in a difficult position, however, the staff completely disregarded and lost interest in their guests and we felt like we were left to fend for ourselves. We noticed an abundance of staff walking around the resort cleaning up the mess, but they gave us zero attention and we felt disregarded. My other issue is the lack of communication between staff members. We would resolve a query or issue with one staff member, but this issue would reappear with the next rostered staff member as the messages were never communicated. We were also offered a refund to checkout early, but they haven't refunded us and keep making excuses. Absolutely pathetic! I'm also very surprised that they don't have a generator like the other resorts in the area.

        Staying here right now. Great check in experience and fantastic location. Rooms OK but it’s the small things that count which is not meeting basic expectations. Room keeping is quite bad, they make the bed but don’t give enough towels or take away rubbish and used cups and glasses. Have had to call twice to get them to bring new coffee or just give us fresh glasses. Overall, the pool would make it a good stay for families. Not so much for couples.

        Overall we had a very pleasant stay at Peppers. The location is good, being very close to the main beach, restaurants and bars in the main centre of Port Douglas. The service is very erratic, there have been so many previous reviews pointing out some of the service issues and lots of comments by management saying they will fix them, but they have not been addressed.

        Great location. Friendly reception staff. Bar serves breakfast, cocktails, bar meals like burgers etc. Beach is great but crowded with families, faces west, is in full sun from noon. Best if solo/couple: a Spa room facing east, morning sun only? Best if a family: a beachside apartment facing west?
