Stayed here in November-December 2023. Hotel was in a brilliant location - within easy walking distance of some great places to eat and little shops. The seafront is within easy walking distance too. Very convenient for Uber into Cape Town or Camps Bay. The Hop on, Hop off bus stops at the end of the road which is handy! The staff at the hotel were fabulous - especially the guys on security - really friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and clean but the slight downside for us was the maintenance that was going on the first few days we were there - people in and out of the room to replace a mirror and curtains (which incidentally, looked perfectly fine). That said, the hotel as a whole, and its facilities were great and we'd certainly consider staying again. Now to the not-so-good part. I arranged and paid for, a bottle of fizz on arrival. However, it never turned up. We let reception know when we checked out and I have lost count of how many times I have chased the hotel for a refund since returning home 7 weeks ago. I received a response on day 10 saying that the matter was being referred to the accounts department but since then, I have had no reply to my messages and no refund, which is really disappointing.

The hotel is very clean and renovated. It has a nice dining area, pool and poolside sitting area. The location is great too - right next to a hop on hop off bus stop and walking distance to the ocean for beautiful sunsets. The staff are really friendly and the breakfast buffet is AMAZING. Basically any kind of breakfast food you can think of, they have. My lower rating is based on the fact that the bathroom was so tiny it could really only accommodate one person staying there. The water smelled like sewage from time to time which was really off-putting. The water also came out full bore from the tap and since the sink was so tiny, it would soak our outfits. It felt like a cruise ship bathroom. The room itself was fine but super noisy with it being close to the entry gate. They also don’t have facecloths so I suggest packing your own if you need one. Load shedding was never an issue and the hotel is safe. Overall for the price it was fine and convenient but it had its downsides.

Very nice hotel. Had a great time staying here, all the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We didn't have a transfer from the airport, so because we have never visited SA before, I emailed the hotel a week or so before travelling to ask for recommendations. They replied with a few options and then booked it for us. During our stay, we wanted to do a safari trip and asked for recommendations. Again, the hotel experience staff got in touch with the company on our behalf and made the necessary arrangements. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Our stay at The President Hotel in Cape Town was absolutely fantastic, earning it a well-deserved five stars. Perfect for our family reunion, the staff's professionalism and warm hospitality set the stage for a remarkable experience. The rooms were a luxurious retreat, and the central location made exploring Cape Town a breeze. The hotel's activities, from the energetic pool area to the well-equipped gym, added a fun touch to our stay. The breakfast buffet was a culinary delight, offering a diverse spread that kick-started our days. In summary, The President Hotel exceeded our expectations, providing top-notch accommodations and a perfect atmosphere for creating unforgettable memories. Had the most exceptional stay in The President hotel. The staff were excellent, especially the man at the entrance of the hotel who always had a smile on his face waving hello to us every time. The staff were so attentive and helpful throughout the duration of our stay. The rooms were excellent and very well furnished with amazing ocean views. The food was really good quality and not to mention the 24/7 room service which was a major bonus!! I would 100% recommend The President hotel to anyone travelling to Cape Town!
