Our journey through Japan was graced with a stay at the Prince Smart Inn Hotel, which impressively ranks as the second-best hotel we experienced. The most striking feature upon arrival was the unexpectedly large room, offering ample space for relaxation. The hotel excels in providing comfort, especially with its modern amenities. The warm toilet seat was a pleasant surprise, particularly appreciated during the cooler days. Furthermore, the shower facilities were outstanding, ensuring a rejuvenating experience each time. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful start to our mornings, simple yet delicious, keeping us energized for the day ahead. It’s important to note that the hotel does not offer luggage forwarding services, but this is conveniently offset by the presence of a Yamato Transport service right next to the hotel, ensuring any logistics needs are easily met. Although the hotel is not directly next to bus or train stations, its proximity to numerous famed restaurants and easy access to popular attractions more than makes up for it. The welcoming atmosphere of the Prince Smart Inn makes it a perfect choice for those seeking comfort and convenience in their travels. Our experience was so enjoyable that we’re already planning our next visit. We highly recommend the Prince Smart Inn for anyone visiting the area and eagerly anticipate our return.

Good location very close to Teramachi and Meitengei shopping street. Subway, bus stop are within 5 -10 mins walk. Nishiki market is also not too far. The room is not big but well organized, new and clean. The bed and pillow are also decent, too. The check-in is a self check in system, but staff will help if you are having trouble. They provide lockers in the hotel, so you can also store your luggage on the check-in date prior to your check-in time. You can pick toilet amenities on your way up to your rooms. There is no kettle or water bottle in the room, but you can ask for them from the front (2 bottles per room). There are several things you can ask from the front, but they did not explain when you check-in. So if you need anything, just ask just in case they have it. Breakfast was just ok but sufficient to get you going in the morning. I won't complain espacially for the price we paid. Some staff members were not friendly but still helpful. The smoking room is available on the ground floor.

This hotel is "roomier" than other similarly rated hotels. It's clean. It provides a free included breakfast. It's located centally to shops and restaurants. It's about 10 minutes walk to the nearest train station. I recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Prince Smart Inn. Great location surrounded by heaps of food and drink options and for basing your travels in Kyoto. We loved the crazy shower and having the laundry was helpful 😊

Amazing location, nice new clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was okay. The staff weren't able to fix or manually check-in my family when I made a mistake on the self check-in system which was a little frustrating. The reception area smelt like sewage during our stay. I would stay here again though.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
