Pros: Excellent location. Large rooms with dishwasher, laundry etc. are great value for money. We were on the 5th floor and the construction never bothered us. Might have been lucky. Location unbeatable, very close to Lune which is handy for beating that line. Cons: There is a slight mildewy smell, not severe. Bathrooms are dated. Gym dated, with basic equipment not functional.

I stayed at this hotel on the 20th November and this must be the worst experience I have had staying in the City. The list is as follows: 1/ room not cleaned 2/ towels not changed 3/ rubbish not removed 4/ dirty dishes and sink the next day 5/ room not cleaned 6/ cushions smelly and smelt of dirt. 7/ soaps and toiletries in the bathroom not replaced 8/ TV only free to air I gave a 2 star for rooms and service but should be a 1 perhaps. I would avoid this hotel unless you have no other options.

Location is excellent, walking distance from cbd. Room is ok, flat and lacks a bit of character. The view was poor, if you want a veranda and view of the city then it’s a hard no. There was also roadworks right out my room between 8am to 5pm. (Weekdays) - see video.

As a family with two young children, we were extremely happy with the room, the location, access to transport etc. The cleanliness and the staff. Housekeeping staff (Vanessa particularly) went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for not only ourselves but our young daughter and our baby. We had everything we needed including directions to where we needed to go and great communication. The room was excellent with a view of the MCG. The hotel manager was extremely kind and helpful with finding us a great deal for our first holiday as a family when we enquired, and was able to accommodate us all. The receptionist Yen, thank you for adding a cot last minute as I had forgotten to do this upon booking. I am so glad we stayed at punthill and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
