        By far my fav hotels in Chicago. Don’t pass up the opportunity to stay in one of Jeanne Gang’s modern architectural masterpieces. The rooms are beautifully designed. This is one of the few hotels in the downtown area with plentiful balcony rooms. All rooms have great views. It’s relatively affordable and in a perfect location for business or leisure travelers to easily access the surrounding areas. The amenities are top notch and never feel crowded. Most of all, the staff at this hotel are incredible. Friendly, helpful and sincere. I’ve never felt more welcome at a hotel or resort anywhere in the world.

        I like this hotel, but it needs several improvements. First of all, the service was not great. There were a few friendly, polite, efficient employees, but for the most part, not good, especially the front desk and housekeeping. The rooms were hit or miss, not very accessible for elderly. The showers were slippery, not enough bars to hold on to. Accessible shower is even worse, water collects on ledge and floods the bathroom. The rooms need more hooks to hang items and the two chairs are most uncomfortable. Beds are too high for those with limited mobility. The restaurant and Starbucks serve okay, pricey food, awful coffee. I think the SB used drip in my cappuccino. Next, they do not deep clean the pet rooms, or they have another definition than I. The comforters in both rooms had what looked to be recent, unwashed stains. It took housekeeping three hours to appear to remake the beds; it was after 10pm. Lastly, the coffee machine was not a Nespresso and was broken. It was never replaced after being informed. As far as the positives go, great location, beautiful views, and good-sized rooms. This could be an incredible stay if some of the employees and managers cared more.

        We really like this hotel for family trips to Chicago. Very close to kid-friendly restaurants, amazing playground (Maggie Daley), Navy Pier is a bit of a walk but fun going along the Riverwalk to get there. Very nice, modern rooms and everyone has always been very friendly and helpful. Also nice to have Starbucks on site for a quick to-go breakfast in the morning. We've enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi and running around the outdoor track to burn off extra energy.

        This is a good place to stay but I expected more. It felt like a regular, run of the mill hotel but in the form of a high rise. The staff is pleasant but lacked the kind of exemplary service and follow through you want from a place like this. The decor is a bit in your face as well. Just expected more from the hotel itself for such an incredible looking building as it is on the outside.

        The room was dirty when I arrived. The nightstand and lamp was thick with dust and the same food particles were on the floor outside my door for the 4 day duration of my trip. The door to my room didn't close shut without me slamming or pulling it so I actually left the first day not realizing that the door was still open. For a hotel billed as "5 star," I was shocked to learn that they only provide housekeeping services every three days. However, I had to ask twice on that third day for housekeeping to actually come and specifically to clean off the night stand and only had someone clean up the room late in the day after asking a second time, long after I returned from a long bike ride and would have enjoyed clean towels. I don't understand why if they only plan to service the room every three days did they only provide 2 coffee mugs and two pods. So I had no coffee in the room on my third morning. When housekeeping finally came on the third day, they never gave me clean mugs or more coffee. I had to ask multiple times to get some additional coffee pods for the room and just washed the mugs myself (one of which was cracked). When I asked at the front desk if I could get coffee in the lobby the pleasant person told me there was a starbucks nearby. I have been traveling cross country and have had cleaner rooms with better service including a decent free breakfast at an $80/night motel. This was disgraceful that I paid over $300/night for this dirty room. The staff was friendly and bellhop guys helpful on the bright side.
