        Hygiene issues. Stayed with family. Reviews bellow specifically for room 2007. Pros: Good Location. Close to Metro, Bus Stops, and North Point Ferry. Yes it is situated along a wet market. Expect to smell all kinds of raw fish, chicken, pork, and beef. But either way, just avoid walking along the sidewalks and you will be fine. You can walk along the road. Room 2007 specifically came with an induction stove, but no pots or cutlery provided. Cons: Major Hygiene issues. Carpets look disgusting. Walls, ceiling, and toilets need to be deep cleaned. One of the blankets were yellow instead of white. My brother and I had rashes on our scalp after sleeping here a few nights, suspected dirty pillow / pillow cases. Room service did not provide towels, (they took our dirty towels). Had to call twice for them to send up towels. This happened two times throughout our stay. No sound proofing, I can hear the people next door having explosive diarrhea. Yes I heard everything. Overall, for the price. I can accept it being beside a wet market. I can accept that sound proofing is not top notch. I can accept that Room service forgotten to give me towels. But please at least make it clean, or at least visually clean.

        Ramada, one of the popular names when it comes to hospitality, is not doing that great in Hong Kong. Breaking down into Pros and Cons Pros: 1. The staffs are really caring 2. Everything is accessible from the hotel. North Point station is within 500m. The tram station is within 200m. 3. The room size is bigger than average rooms in HK Cons: 1. There are a lot of meat stalls right outside the hotel 2. The housekeeping staff never really clean the house until you call the reception twice. 3. The rooms are not sound damping. You can hear even quiet talks from adjacent rooms. 4. The bed! God! you can feel the springs.

        Not a good hotel for the price. The stench in the lobby is eye-watering, smells like rotten meat which lingers in every nook and cranny of the first and second floors. We needed to hold our breath to avoid gagging when running to and from the lifts. Room was small, but that's to be expected. The bed however, was as hard as the floor! It was so uncomfortable, we woke up multiple times during the night due to the hard beds. Good thing the hotel was able to provide more pillows when we asked for it though. One thing to note, housekeeping did not vacuum the carpets in the room (or if they did, it was a bad job) for the 6 nights we stayed. "Rooftop Pool" was closed, so we couldnt even enjoy that view...which was a bummer. Location is OK, about a 10 min walk to the MTR station. Wouldn't be staying here again (or by extension, any other related properties) that's for sure.

        Please take your time to read this review. If you are travelling solo, it’s okay I guess. But try not to stay here especially with kids. I haven’t had the need to leave a review until now. Such horrible experience here. Let me start with the worst: housekeeping barged into our room early in the morning despite us placing the do not disturb sign on the door. -It was early morning and since we’ve been tired we wanted to rest that day but NOPE, a woman knocking as if there was an emergency woke us up and even proceeded to barge into our room when we couldn’t go to the door immediately. She literally just gave water. This is the first time we’ve experienced this. No such thing as privacy for this hotel!!! Double lock your door if you can. Rooms are stuffy/humid (avoid if you have kids prone to allergies or are asthmatic), molds are present, dirty sticky carpet - probably never deep cleaned, dusty lamps and curtains. They have air purifiers inside the room which don’t really help, they probably need dehumidifiers more. Bed is uncomfortable and they do not provide extra pillows. Lobby smells horrible due to the hotel being located at a wet market, not their fault but you should consider this if you’re sensitive to such smell. Despite its name having Grand View, unfortunately you will only get a view of the buildings beside it for standard rooms we were on floor 18 so maybe get a room on a higher floor or their suite (actual room is far from the photos they show on hotel booking sites). It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest MTR station and you have to pass through the wet market. Wet market on one side of the sidewalk and more shops on the opposite side.. You can opt to walk on the street though. This is not a disabled-friendly location/hotel.

        You may find the location is a bit weird as the street is a famous market (wet & dry); however, it is situated conveniently close to 711, McDonald, Tram terminal, bus stations and Subways. So many restaurants around. If you are able to secure a high level room, the view is really a "Grand" per the hotel's name. Staffs are friendly.
