Real Bellavista Hotel & Spa

As much as I would like to say it was good it unfortunately was not. But of course you get what you pay for. Location about 10 minutes walk from the Old Town. The hotel was kinda old and worn definitely needs a revamp. The rooms at very basic. Although clean and tidy. The patio door had a small bolt lock the key did not work. It was simply insecure. The air conditioning control on the wall was broken held together by tape. There was no tea or coffee or kettle just a small bottle of water left each day. The pool area lovely views but again very worn and tired. There was a small bar type area but expensive 3 euro for a very basic instant machine coffee. We was a party of 8 guys 2 per room. 2 of the rooms on arrival only had double beds despite requesting and paying for twin rooms. This is just not on. They did eventually change rooms all to including twin rooms. The dining room was again very basic and very basic facilities. The food I can only say breakfast was poor. They only provided very small plates not much larger then a sandwich type plate or making it impossible to put even a small amount of food on your plate. The waiting staff were unfriendly and seem disinterested in the guest. Tying to gain access into the hotel later on the evening is a nightmare. The night porter was often rude. One night after ringing the bell and knocking the door constantly the same night porter appeared after 15 minutes looking unimpressed and actually trying to blame me say I should only knock the door, Not to ring the bell. Overall this hotel is tired and worn out if you are on a small budget fine but otherwise find somewhere else. I have tried to keep this review fair having stopped in lots of hotels by the sea but this has been the worse.

The service was lovely, but the hotel needs attention there was chipped paint and the bathrooms were very Basic. It's starred a 4 star but I think it needs to be less. We got the breakfast included in our stay. It was a good for what it was but again could be better. The service was great and they included free shuttles to the near by towns and they also gave us timetables and maps for us to know where to go. The indoor pool side of things needs to be sorted as there was water damage all over the staircase. The water at the front desk wasn't changed regularly and it tasted of stale lemons. They just need to put some attention in to the hotel and they could be a proper 4 star.
