The hotel is very very outdated! It is NOT a 4.5 stars. It is worth 3 stars at most factoring in location. This hotel was chosen with 2 main reasons: location and King size beds. These two criteria are satisfied. However the entire building is so outdated. The bathroom in our first room cannot be fully closed. The shower head filled with build ups A piece of hardware fell off. The gout had black spots. The furnitures were cracked. The super aged carpet and window treatment were smelly. The air vent was occupied by dust. The floor smelled as smoking pit. Next night we changed higher floor with a room with less issues. The staffs were friendly, sincere and efficient.

I am still staying at this hotel for the next two nights. Service is ok but room wasn’t available at the check in time at 3pm. Room has a smell from the drain 🤮. Air conditioning system is so outdated, loud noise and temperature is technical faulty. Room is very very old. Only the location is good but the lighting at the front door is dark and dull, very negative energy. Bar has no cocktail selection, only beer coffee and tea! Very very old at the lobby. I won’t pick this hotel again for sure. Very disappointing overall. It’s a 5 star hotel but only qualified as a 3 star.

Location is perfect to anywhere. Room's and cafe's furnitures looks old but clean. Bathroom overall is clean but some areas are moulty. Lighting is too dim. Buffet breakfast good but insufficient variety of food.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, as it's conveniently situated near the iconic Yu Garden. Exploring the surrounding area and its rich cultural heritage was a delight, with easy access to popular attractions and vibrant local markets. The hotel itself boasts a modern and elegant ambiance. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. The amenities provided were satisfactory, and the housekeeping staff ensured a clean and tidy environment throughout my stay. One aspect that stood out during my time at Renaissance Hotel Shanghai Yu Garden was the friendly and attentive service from the staff. From the front desk to the restaurant, the team went out of their way to assist and make guests feel welcomed. While the hotel met most of my expectations, there were a few areas where improvement could be made. Firstly, the Wi-Fi connectivity in the rooms was occasionally spotty, which could be frustrating at times. Additionally, the breakfast buffet, while decent, lacked the variety and quality that I had hoped for in a hotel of this caliber. Despite these minor shortcomings, Renaissance Hotel Shanghai Yu Garden remains a solid choice for travelers seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Shanghai. Awesome breakfast with many different options, both chinese and western. Realy liked the beds, good hardness for back sleepers. Toothbrush and toothpaste available in the room. Sound isolation was good. Basic gym and small pool among the installations available without extra costs.

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
