        While researching for hotels in Manhattan, I got the impression that all hotels were horrible given the number of negative reviews online. I’m happy to report that the Residence Inn at Downtown/Financial District isn’t the case. My family and I stayed for 7 nights and it was a very comfortable stay. We booked a corner room with 2 queen sized beds and a small kitchenette. The room was clean and everything worked. We didn’t encounter and problems with noise, nor did we have to wait long for the elevators. The hotel’s location is in a quiet area and close by to Fulton Street station. There a many convenience stores and eateries within walking distance. The front desk staff were always polite and attentive when I approached them. Breakfast is included which was very welcome. The spread is adequate for our needs but it’s definitely not comparable to higher class hotels. Yes, the use of disposable ware and cutlery is an environmental disaster, but understandable given the shortage of manpower in the City. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay very much. It’s definitely in line with its 3 star rating. I can recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a reasonably priced accommodation in lower Manhattan.

        We've had a lovely stay! Everything has been lovely. I have to admit, the breakfast was very underwhelming, especially seeing that it's advertised for like $17? This is the bottom of the bacon egg and cheese "bagel." Sorry, friends, but even those of us NOT from New York get to be offended that you called this a bagel! I'd honestly wager a guess that y'all could get rid of basically all of the rest of the food options and just have an assortment of real New York bagels and cream cheese and guests would be happier than they are currently with this. The turkey sausage was shriveled and overcooked despite being a full tray... salad was a nice touch, though it's just mixed greens and dressing options...just not what we expected after an otherwise stellar stay!

        I made a bit of a mistake with booking this hotel as it has a very similar name to another residence inn hotel nearby. Luckily I had nothing to worry about because the hotel was brilliant and we had a great stay. The breakfast was decent, though could be improved by using real plates and cutlery rather than disposable ones. The housekeeping was missed the first time round but we raised the issue and they did it the next day. Extra towels were provided when needed, the laundry room was a bonus, only costing a dollar to wash and to dry. Staff were polite and friendly and the location was fantastic, walking distance from a few subway stations and easy to get to from JFK. The room was clean and spacious with a big TV and nice kitchenette and bathroom. Thank you for a brilliant stay 😊

        I was a guest at this property for 11 days. The location is good and easy to access public transportation. The room was very spacious for a NYC hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. The small kitchen area was great. The customer service was amazing. It was what you expected from Marriott. Lately, some of the properties I have stayed at have lacked good customer service. The Residence Inn Manhattan Financial District had exceptional customer service. The breakfast was good. The food was replenished quickly and the area was clean. We enjoyed our breakfast. I did have a problem in receiving my points for the stay. Eventually, it was worked out.

        Absolutely first class, highly pleasant and friendly service that went above and beyond the regular requests, and in my case came to fruition immediately at check-in in the form of a special request. The infrastructure is up to date and always makes a well-maintained and modern impression. I would also like to praise the catering service and the cleaning staff.
