Residence Inn Los Angeles L.A. LIVE

Room was clean and modern. Location was great. It is not near the skid row of down town LA. However, the service was pretty horrible. We have stayed in this hotel for a event near the convention centre. Given that there was an event going on, the hotel was at its full capacity. Requested to have late checkout which was not approved by staff, as they stataed “hotel is at full capacity and cannot accompany everyone’s wish.” Fast forward to the next morning. Everyone was checking out at the same time! Huge line up at the counter waiting to check out, crowds of people are waiting in the lounge waiting for Uber cost to come down as EVERYONE IS LEAVING AT THE SAME TIME. The worst was picking up our vehicle was a nightmare since we parked at the hotel. We were told that there was a 2 hours wait time as everyone is picking up their vehicle at the same time. Very disapointed with the organization of the hotel. Great experience with the location and the facility, but organized check-out time the next day would’ve made the experience so much better. Would still stay again, but I would keep in mind next time to not get a park my car there during a event night.

Not worth what we paid. The room was dirty/stains on the wall on arrival with a very terrible smell. The ice box in the freezer said to use ice machine in the hall. There’s no scrub to wash your dishes. The cleaning crew never replaced the soap for the dishwasher. There was something spilled in the shower, I’m not sure what. The sink would clog up and the water would take forever to go down the drain. One of the spoons was damaged and left there and it cut me when trying to figure out if it was old food particles stuck to it. The chair had metal sticking through when you sat on it, we told the front desk about it and they said they would replace it but never did. The front lobby had no zero sugar soda to purchase and when asked the front desk he just shrugged it off and said that’s what they had. We’ve stayed in the past at this location and it was great and we looked forward to our extended stay here this trip, didn’t mind the price but it was a huge disappointment and felt taken advantage of. Not worth it at all. The breakfast is terrible, they used to have waffles my husband loves but they only offer them on Saturday and Sundays…. The potatoes each day were so dry and stale. The facility needs a waffle or pancake making station. This stay was the worst thing about our trip and have left us very uneasy. Will be finding a new location to stay in when visiting LA.
