Charming and authentic little gem. We stayed at this Riad for five days. It is in the heart of historic Marrakech and walking distance from everything, including the souk. Our room was really charming and beautifully decorated. The night attendant, Badr, is exceptionally kind, attentive and helpful. He made us feel so welcomed.

Me and my wife stayed here over new year,the day and night managers couldn't do enough to help us,we will definitely be coming back and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Marrakech 👍

Very friendly staff Overall a great experience and I’m not sure if they were given my contact info because a tour company booked this for us. I think I would be putting a higher rating if we had booked directly because this is the hotel someone should contact you before arrival. If they would offer airport pick up or directions to the location it would have been great. We had a 30 euro taxi take us to a spot 5 minutes from the door, he didn't know where to take us (after looking at our booking and putting our bags in his taxi he started asking people where to take us) then the GPS can't read the location so we started searching through the market, someone “helped us” for another 20 euro (they insisted on 40 euros for their “work” - a 90 second walk that could have been pointed out, he ran and took twenty after I pressed the doorbell). The door is in an alley and hard to find. Again, I'm not sure if it was our tour company not giving them my info or if they just don't contact people ahead of time. That was a rough start and I would have rather up graded the room than pay all that. Getting the room could be more efficient. It was 39 degrees, carrying the bags was tough. I would have liked to go directly to the room then have tea. That might be different if they contact ahead of time for details. It's possible they didn't know when to expect us. I'm also not sure how this room was arranged via grade, we were in a downstairs room without windows. It was very pretty and quaint. Air quality could be better, we opened the door and stayed in the common areas as much as possible. It was the only low-grade room, beautiful, but we would have taken the upgrade if offered. I was so thrown by the arrival I didn't understand that most rooms were upstairs. The staff at Riad Canelle are very nice and accommodating. A taxi was arranged for our departure at 15 euros. Directions and a map were helpful for us to find our way around. Someone was always available if we needed anything. The location was in the heart of a lot of activity, perfect for a single packed night and morning.

Very quaint little hotel with a few rooms. Location is nice because its walking distance to the square and market. Felt very safe walking back in evening. Its somewhat hard to find, and the door is covered with a black metal bars. So when you arrive you ring the bell and then the staff opens it. Appreciate how they helped setup taxi back to airport on day of departure as well (cheaper and less hassle). Also Badr was so helpful and gracious, made the stay 10x better. You'll get a more authentic experience here than a large chain hotel. The breakfast is great as well.

We stayed here for 4 nights, early October. The riad is in a good location and you can easily walk to all the sights in old town. We were in the only downstairs room (which was nice after long days of walking around not having to go up stairs). The air conditioner in this room was okay, I was too warm during the night (but I tend to be on a daily basis). We were served some nice mint tea and biscuits upon arrival. Also, we were given a map of the medina (and beyond) with good instructions which was very helpful. The courtyard is beautiful with plenty of seating. This is where a nice breakfast is served daily. A couple days we had early excursions and the staff was nice and provided our breakfast at the time we requested. There is a nice terrace on the roof although the views are only other rooftops but in the evening when cool it was nice to sit up there.
