We had a lovely stay in November. The Riad is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the Medina, Allan was a fantastic host and all of the staff were brilliant and so welcoming. Special mention to Raddi for making the most delicious mint teas! The rooms are beautifully decorated and we loved the courtyard and rooftop. Breakfasts were plentiful and we ate dinner twice and had fantastic meals both times. Great location for exploring Marrakech, we’d love to come back - definitely feels like a home from home!

A three night stay in early January proved to be even better than anticipated, curtesy of the wonderful hospitality, comfort, outstanding food and first class service from Allan and his team. The riad is set close to the souks and many visitor attractions of Marrakesh, yet manages to be an oasis of quiet and calm, perfect at the end of a busy day in the bustling town. We could not recommend it more highly. Thank you to everyone!

Lovely Riad in perfect location at the heart of the Medina. Alan was a great host and really enjoyed having a good chin wag with him. Lovely room, great rooftop, and really nice breakfast. Would certainly come again!

Negative: after a long day tour I asked for a meal in the evening. The starter, a chicken dish, was still frozen when it was served. I took it back to the kitchen and they said they would cook a new batch. I decided I didn’t want to risk it. Ended up the rest of my stay with food poisoning (although this may have been from some food I eat in Atlas Mountains earlier in day). I contacted Allan about this and was basically told I was lying, the food was cooked and he also made up that I was already ill (I wasn’t). A few emails between us degenerated into me being called a liar, this was even though they had initially said that the food was indeed incorrectly cooked (ie: frozen). Due to this I would not return and was glad to leave. No soundproofing for rooms so you can hear other guests in their rooms and the staff can be very loud at times. Positive: excellent location and if all goes well then they are good hosts. No locks on doors but staff around most of day so seemed safe. Rooftop views are good. Apart from the unfortunate frozen meal all other food was to a good standard. Breakfasts were good.

If you’re looking for a personable, beautifully unique place to stay with an amazing host, this is the one. As first timers in Marrakesh, navigating the myriad of shops and questionable alleys is very daunting, but Allan, our host is an expert (and quite the local celebrity) and made us feel safe right away. Allan made sure that he gave almost fail proof instructions on how to get to the Riad. El Zohar is a bright, well kept establishment with historical intrigue, cool bathrooms and yummy food. I even had the chance learn to cook like a Moroccan with Miss Khadija in the riad kitchen. In short, our stay at Riad El Zohar defined our trip in Morroco.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Please be aware that fulfilling these requests may result in additional charges.

The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the booking cannot be confirmed due to certain circumstances, Adani One will refund the entire amount to the original mode of payment.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Refund amount may take 10 working days to process to the respective account from which the payment was made during the booking.

Please be informed that your bank may debit its own separate charges from refunds made to your credit card or bank account.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
