        Best hotel in Japan that I had the pleasure of staying in. Rooms: booked a triple room, the room was comfortably sized and able to fit 3 of our 25 inch luggages. Beds were very comfy and the toilets clean. The hotel also provides many amenities such as face masks, hair oil, bath salts and many more. There's also complimentary tea time snacks and evening sake. For the price I paid, it was very worth the money. Service: excellent, all the staff were polite and responsive Location: very good. Located on the front side of the station so it is very convenient to take buses and is only a 5minute walk to Kyoto station. There's a pretty big Lawson nearby as well. The only downside was the washing machine and dryers. I wouldn't recommend washing clothes here because it's quite expensive and the dryer did not fully dry out the clothes despite many additional rounds. Overall I enjoyed this hotel stay and I would stay here again.

        Best hotel in my entire 2 week trip in Japan! This hotel should be at least rated a 4/5 star and its services and cleanliness of the rooms would win a 5-star rated hotel in Tokyo. Location is really good. Walking distance to the main station, and room size is well sized for a normal standard room and could fit at least two adults with two large luggages. Again, I cannot emphasize enough the cleanliness of the room and the room is well air conditioned (you can choose hot or cold). The room is well ventilated unlike other hotels in Tokyo. Lastly the service in this hotel is the best. They offer complimentary amenities, complimentary snacks / afternoon tea and even alcohol drinks during the happy hour for free! This hotel deserves the best reviews

        Great location and excellent facility and room. Really liked the hotel and out of the four hotels we stayed in our recent Japan trip, my kids ranked this as their best hotel. In addition, I love the fact that their laundry facility is top notch and allowed users to monitor the time progress of the wash and availability of the laundry facility remotely from the room. Will definitely consider staying there again in our next trip to Kyoto.

        Everything about this hotel is wonderful! They have tea and dessert (complimentary) There's a social hour. Rooms are huge. Staff is friendly. Tons of amenities. Including bath salts Huge bathroom with a large tub. The toilet and the shower+tub are behind separate doors in your room. They clean your room every day! They sent our luggage to our room after it came from the Yamato luggage forwarding system It's a 5 min walk to the station There are washer dryer combo machines! You'll have to insert 100 yen coins for it to operate. They come out a bit damp (even after running it for another dry cycle), but just air it out in your room for a bit and it'll be fine! I've posted a picture of the instructions down below. Overall this has been the best hotel I've stayed at so far during my time in Japan :)

        If you’re travelling to Kyoto this hotel is a must. The service is exceptional, friendly and warm. The staff really go above and beyond to accommodate all guests. I had an issue with drying my clothes so I contacted the front desk and they took my washing for me. Not only did they dry them, but they also mended the bag I had put them in and returned them neatly folded. If you have the opportunity to add breakfast to your stay absolutely go for it. This is not your typical buffet, all the food is fresh and beautiful quality. Perfect if you are interested in trying a Japanese style breakfast. Highly talented chefs prepared sashimi, meats, sides, and something for absolutely anyone. Everything about this hotel was exceptional, I stayed in a double room which was a lot larger than other double rooms Id stayed in throughout Japan. The amenities are free to collect and use per person, offering face wash, shaving cream, and other self care products that most hotels wouldn’t offer. The thing I love about this system is that you can really select and tailor your personal ammenities and reduce waste of products. If you’re interested in exploring Kyoto, this hotel is perfectly located, only 5 minutes from Kyoto tower, and the subway station it is ideal for the travelling tourist. So so happy with Richmond Hotel, definitely will return to this perfectly managed and gorgeous hotel.

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
