Late Review: I stayed here back in Fall 2022 and had such an amazing experience! This hotel is very friendly to foreigners, especially English speaking ones. The rooms were comfy and clean. The location was PERFECT for a stay in Kyoto, with a subway station about a 5-minute walk and the Yasaka Shrine being about a 10-minute walk away. At night, it was a nice place to relax and rest our feet after walking around the city all day. When I come back to Kyoto (which I plan to), Rinn Gion Shirakawa will be the place I will stay again!

Very clean and modern hotel located centrally in the Gion district. Really appreciated the Japanese minimalist styling. It was just so comfortable staying here. Loved the shower room after a long day of exploring. Close to lots of cool restaurants. They were fast to respond to any enquiries with my booking through Expedia

We had a very pleasant 4-night stay here. Very nice staff, beautiful, comfortable and nicely lit and equipped rooms. Fantastic location for walking to nearby site seeing and easy public transit to destination places like Arashiyama. Delicious restaurants throughout the neighborhood.

We took a week-long vacation in Kyoto and stayed at this hotel. The aesthetics of this place was really nice, but the longer we stayed, the more we saw the flaws. The kettle in our room was relatively new, and we thought it would be safe to use. I rinsed it twice before using. After drinking our teas and thinking there was a trace of a strange taste, I looked into the kettle and realised there were black flakes inside. I poured out the water, tried again twice, and there was still a little of the flakes left. After which, we switched to a travel kettle we bought. We stayed six nights but they only cleaned our room once, at the midway mark after three nights. Apparently, if we wanted more cleaning we’d have to pay ¥3,000 yen every time. They use functional but single ply toilet paper to save on costs. On the other hand, it’s located close to the busy shopping areas of Kyoto, so there’s that. Overall, it was good. Just don’t use the kettle.

Lovely hotel and well situated. The service was unfailingly good and the rooms left nothing to be asked for. I very much recommend this hotel and will come back.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
