Shocking. That a hotel like this can claim to be 5 star in 2023. The room is dire. Clearly never had any refurbishment for 10+ years. 12 year old TV. Terrible mattress. Two beds pushed together does not make king bed. This hotel is 3 star level quality at best. The only good thing is the friendly service and views.

Nice hotel with great view and convenient location. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Flexible arrangements. Child friendly, too. We got a wooden cot for our two year old child :-) the only one area for improvements needed in my opinion is lack of staff at dinner. We had dinner at Pinsa and we had to wait very long time…staff were too busy to notice our continued efforts to get their attention. But food was nice. Breakfast, too. I am puzzled to read reviews saying that the staff are racist. I am Asian but did not feel discriminated. Rather, I saw arrogant Asian customers without respect for others. For instance, an Asian lady was watching something in Chinese on her mobile without earphones at breakfast next to us, which I found disturbing. Another instance was a Chinese man who interrupted a receptionist who was already attending to another guest. Not only that, he was doing face time and talking loudly during the whole time he interrupted the receptionist and walking around the lobby. He was told to wait. This is not racism.

Admirable hotel and probably the best in Grindelwald. Its just across the train station. It has the perfect ambiance both inside and the outside, we are well asissted by the helpful staff. They even offered us another round of desserts when we said we liked it. Will go back for sure

Horrible service at the concierge in the evening. He was rude and was too lazy to answer any of our questions. He pretended that he had given us a room upgrade, but in reality that was the exact same suite we had booked online. Hotel’s location is convenient, but the property/facilities are super old. Overall, this hotel and its service is at best a three-star hotel.
