        Came here for a workshop and it was really beautiful! The food was good, the staff were friendly and super fast, and the hall was set up according to how we wanted it. I really love the set up and how it’s really Malaysian- style but still luxurious! Would definitely come back here for a stay and maybe try their breakfast! Enjoy!

        This is a nice property at a location that's convenient for those who don't mind short walks to the nearby Pavilion Mall (those who enjoy shopping should make the time for a visit) or a nearby restaurant (caution: restaurants close very early here). Rooms are just okay - they give you a fair amount of space and the sheets/upholstery are clean, but the rugs/carpeting are old and show signs of wear and staining. The toilet is separated by a frosted glass partition and has a health faucet (hurrah), but is oddly designed so that the water flow is controlled from the wall fitting. The TV is an old model and rather small. All that said, the hotel does ensure that smells (usually attributed to old fabrics) don't put you off - there is a pleasant smell almost everywhere. The decor is old, but looks good (especially festive times) in the lobby/foyer. The rooms, however are relatively bland - without even a simple art frame or two. The fitness center is basic - plenty of treadmills, but very few resistance training options. They do have a pool, so one can enjoy a soak when so inclined. Breakfast is a decent spread at the buffet - don't expect to be bowled over - but the essentials are there. Vegetarians may find fewer options than they are used to, but they did have a separate counter and a chef attending, so that was a nice plus!

        It's unclear how this hotel has a 5 star rating. * Had to move rooms because the first was so filthy. The second was also dirty but at that point we were too tired to care. * Given room keys that didn't work 3 times * Bathrooms have black mould in all the grouting. * Despite the 'do not disturb' being on our door, staff knocked on the door anyway, waking us up * No bath robes in the room, and have to ask 4 times over the course of the day before they were brought * No hot water on our second day, and we had to ask 3 times over the day before anyone fixed this. No apology either. * Toilet was broken and would not flush * Bathtub couldn't be drained, so we only had one bath, then had a bathtub full of dirty water for the next 2 days. * At least half of the gym equipment was broken or assembled wrong (the seat of the rowning machine was mounted backward) * The pool's restaurant doesn't open until 8pm (when the pool is closed), meaning there is nowhere to get water from during the day * The function centre music was so loud what it woke us upon level 4! We had to sleep with earplugs in. In a 5 star hotel, you should not feel like you're above a third rate nightclub. In a 5 star hotel, hot water should not need to be begged for. In a 5 star hotel, you should not be picking up large flakes of the previous guest's roti from your floor. Finally, in a 5 star hotel, if you ask for something to be done, it should be done! Don't bother with this place unless you want to be continually disappointed.

        People will say that this hotel is old.. but it old like a fine wine. Classic and beautiful. The rooms, facilities are all in good condition. Definitely enjoy my stay over here :) And the hotel buffet it’s one of the best I ever eaten, not only it’s had a massive spread of food, but it also taste delicious and maintain some level of quality. Really appreciate the team behind it. My to go hotel when I visit kl again! Worth for money.
