        Great experience of a traditional Ryokan. We had a private onsen in our room which was a delightful treat. Staff were extremely helpful. We stayed for one night which was enough for us to experience a Ryokan.

        I’m honestly surprised this is rated like a 3 star hotel. We had such a great stay! We were there for 5 nights: we are a couple in our 30ies from Italy with a 2yo. The room was perfect: spacious, comfortable futon, nice Japanese toilet. The staff left us sweets for us twice per day and also a new yukata every day (even for my son). For women, they let you pick the yukata design you prefer. I wish I could have bought a couple of them but they weren’t on sale. When I booked, I didn’t remember reading about a public bath they have, so it was a pleasant surprise when we arrived. We used to start and finish our days in there, so relaxing! Everyone was very kind and helpful. Can’t recommend enough!

        Staff has below average english skills, but the stay was pleasant and the room was clean. Breakfast varies between days but it is below average - fish is overcooked, tofu is non-optional, and the rest is unremarkable. Interesting experience, wouldn’t recommend staying for longer than 1 night

        Not sure why people give this place such a bad rating. The service is spectacular, super kind and helpful and speak basic English. The breakfast is comprehensive and delicious, well worth the money especially because it is served in-room. The onsen is a bit small but the amenities are plentiful, with yukatas, socks, slippers, and a variety of cleansers and lotions provided. The location is close to the subway and walking distance to many local sights such as the Nishiki market. The traditional Japanese furnishings were comfortable and authentic, we really cannot say enough good things about this place. Out of all the hotels and Airbnbs we have stayed in Japan, this ryokan has been our favorite. Give it a chance - the location and staff are simply the best.

        A friend recommended staying at a ryokan during our visit to Japan but we had already made all our accommodations. We made a last minute decision to stay at Ryokan Kohro since it was conveniently located in the middle of Kyoto and it was one of the best decisions on our trip. Even though it was not in the mountains, the room, the sleep accommodations, the food, and the service were top notch. The dinner was great and we paid extra for the traditional breakfast, which was totally worth it. We also splurged on our private tub. The entire experience was unique and I highly recommend it for anyone that is not visiting the ryokans in the mountain cities.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
          Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.
          If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.
          Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
          Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.
          The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.
