        I didn't have high expectations leading up to my stay here at the downtown lodge but was more than unsatisfied with how my stay panned out. I'm normally not the type to write reviews on establishments because I'm pretty forgiving on first time try's at different establishments, but this situation couldn't go unnoticed. Starting off the room had live and dead roaches crawling around that we had to continuously look for and kill just to be comfortable. When I needed to take shower I didn't have a towel, so I asked the gentleman at the front desk if I could get a towel and he told me that the cleaning lady would. So when I asked the cleaning lady for a towel she informed me that I would have to give her the dirty towels. I had no problem with that and gave her the dirty towel that were not in use because there was one towel that my girlfriend was currently using when she was getting ready. The cleaning lady made a issue out of receiving this one towel and wouldn't hand me the new towels until I kept pressing the issue, making such a simple situation so difficult. The AC unit in the room wouldn't work on command and at night it was extremely hot. When the hotel took my deposit they assured me that I will get the deposit back the second I checked out. When it came time for checkout not only did they not give me my deposit back but they actually processed the transaction in my account. I decided to call my bank to see why this was and my bank informed me that they didn't even start the refund process even though the lady at the lobby informed me she did. My bank asked me to get a authorization code from the hotel which I called in to do. I spoke with another receptionist at the hotel named "J", "Bob", or "Sam". The reason why I don't know the exact name is because this gentlemen gave me multiple different names when my girlfriend called along with myself after he kept hanging up on us. I asked him if he could give me a authorization code in which he answered back with "no, no, don't worry your refund will process in 2 days". I informed him that the information that he just told me is not needed and that I need a authorization code to give to my bank. He finally gave me the code and then immediately hung up on me. While I wont say to not stay here I will say expect to not receive the best customer service, hygiene, and your money.

        An OK place to stay, I guess, especially if you don't have many options. It's clean enough, comfortably spacious and features a toilet and a shower that work well. AC and TV are the highlights; the nonexistent décor and amenities are the lows. Weird thing: I stayed there for three nights and never saw or ran into any workers.

        We checked in 08.22.2023 around 11pm When we went to our room there were a cockroaches and insects which was soo horrible after this we turn back we wanted to speak with manager but we couldn't speak with him or her, the employee told us that he can't do nothing even he didn't apologized.We left because it was impossible to stay their with cockroaches and at night we found another hotel. Next day We called them we get the same answer we can't do nothing and manager isn't there they don't care about their customers only they care is to charge.

        I called at 7am and asked when and if they had an early checkin available he said sure around 9 or 930 am. Awesome! I got there at 9am and he said to wait until 11am. So diligently, I waited (with my 8 year old Rotty trying to stay out of the sun). I got back to the hotel around 1030am. I was told to wait 30 minutes. 30 minutes later the jerk behind the desk had given the room away to someone else! And was absolutely impossible to deal with. There was open condoms and trash outside the hotel. And the only way to park without paying at the lot nextdoor is to double park one in front of the other....how convenient. That would explain why every car leaving the lot had scratches on it! This owner is a joke! And an absolute jerk for lack of better word
