        I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding my recent stay at one of your properties. As a loyal Silver Elite member for over 18 years, I have never encountered such a terrible experience at a Marriott hotel, especially during the holiday season, when I expected to feel at home: 1. Room Condition: The room I was assigned to was extremely outdated, with furniture that appeared worn and obsolete. The presence of dust and allergens caused severe allergies throughout our stay. Additionally, the wallpaper was torn, the chair was filthy, and the shower showed signs of rust. Furthermore, the television had poor reception. It was disheartening to have such a subpar experience, considering the premium status that this category of room should offer. 2. Valet Parking: I had specifically requested a 50% discount on valet parking, which was not honored by the reception staff. Despite providing evidence of my reservation and even sending an email prior to my arrival, there seems to be a lack of clarity regarding this matter. 3. Dry Cleaning Service: My wife availed herself of the hotel's dry cleaning service and was advised to drop off the items at the lobby before 8:30 PM. However, when we arrived at 8:35 PM, we were met with rudeness and were not able to hand over the garments. The treatment we received was exceptionally poor. 4. Late Check-Out: I had requested a late check-out due to our flight schedule the following day. Unfortunately, the response I received was an outright denial, citing an ongoing event. It is disheartening to witness a pattern of "no" as the default response without any consideration given to my loyalty and the special circumstances of my visit. Regrettably, this experience has left me with no desire to return to any Marriott property, particularly due to the appalling level of service, the dismissive attitude of the staff, and the complete disregard for my expectations as a valued guest. I trust that Marriott, as a renowned hospitality brand, prides itself on providing exceptional guest experiences.

        The room itself was fine, nothing to write home about but was fine for the few nights we were staying there. My issue with this hotel comes from the fact that someone tried to break into my hotel room at 1am. I told the guy banging on the door that he was in the room wrong but he still proceeded to attempt to open the door and constantly bang on the door. I called the front desk and asked for security. I felt security took longer than it should have when I reported someone trying to break into my room. The lady at the front desk stayed on the phone with me until security got there but that was were the service ended. Security got individual to stop attempting to break into my room but never once checked on us. No a single person in the hotel apologized or check on us. I was staying with my sister on this particular trip but as two young females I would NOT feel safe staying here. I think it's absolutely absurd that we paid full price when someone attempted to break into our room and the hotel did not ever attempt to apologize. It reflects extremely poorly on the Mariott name.

        I'm shocked this property is evaluated as high as it is. We are platinum members and stayed here for a conference. The TV is tiny and below eye level even when lying down. There are coolers (not refridgerators) in the rooms (tho there is a sign saying you can get a fridge). The bathrooms and furnishings are exceedingly outdated. The concierge lounge was awful. The breakfast was ok very very limited continental with eggs and bacon. The happy hour was awful. Unchilled wine, small pour, for 10 dollars. A few pieces of cheese lay about on a platter. Zero incentive to be a member at all or have any allegiance to the marriot brand. I have long felt that marriots have gone downhill but this visit cemented that thought. We will go with other more youthful and better kept up hotels in the future. Totally not worth the price. I will say bless the housekeeping staff they did a wonderful job and my room was wonderfully clean every day. The location was also nice and very walkable to conference center bars and restaurants..but for the so called marriot brand...which used to mean that a hotel met a certain standard to me.... it no longer does.

        We stayed at another Marriot to celebrate a milestone birthday as a mother daughter duo. Within walking distance we headed to Altitude Sky Lounge for a drink. Horrible Mistake ! My daughter purchased one drink ,within 15 min she was que'd by her bank that $306.88 had been charged to her account by ALTITUDE - SOLEIL after the $12.99 drink she had approved and signed for. Altitudes Bartender and Manager (Eric) claim to have zero receipts or tender for the amount and provided us with the Marriot Hotel's Financing Department who appears to busy to return calls 48 hours of a complaint. There is zero cover, zero dress code. If you can walk in the front doors of Marriot from K Street you can walk right into the lobby and be directed to 22nd floor for the great view of the city skyline atop the roof at the club but an expensive experience for the 30 min we were . Perhaps human error , perhaps a result of very lax security, quality of employees during the "off season " according to them . We let the guests who rode down from the 22nd floor in the elevator be aware of what had transpired and warned them to check their accounts as well for Altitude having a skimmer on one of their card readers at the bar . Beware. We are awaiting a call back from Marriot's Accounting Department to rectify the situation before we proceed with other reviews and while financial institution investigates the fraud on Altitude's part. Hopefully they have cameras for review to catch the culprits if it was something other than human error. in DS

        Don't stay at this hotel. It's a rip off. I had to pay a 134 dollars per night for insurance on the room. Never got it back. The room was musty the faucet in the tube was loose and a lamp didn't work. There was also poor lighting.
